Why they chose this property
And here are 10 Reasons to holiday in Prestatyn, North Wales
1. Prestatyn is an original Spa town in the Vale of Clwyd, an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’
2. At the beginning or end of the Offa's Dyke Walk and on the Wales Coast Path, Prestatyn offers both wide sandy beaches / dunes and country / hillside walks
3. The beach offers Crazy Golf, Leisure Centre, Arcade & beach-front restaurants
4. The town itself boasts a modern Retail Park and a busy High Street with a wide array of independent and chain stores, shops, cinema, pubs, takeaways, cafes and restaurants (lots are dog-friendly!)
5. World-famous Welsh Castles are on the doorstep at Rhuddlan, Conwy and Caernarfon, and of course, Abergele's Gwyrch Castle, Welsh home of ITV1's "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here"!
6. The iconic Georgian hotels of Llandudno and the Great Orme with its famous goats are about 45 minutes away and historic Chester is about the same distance in the other direction
7. The Welsh Mountain Zoo is only half an hour away at Colwyn Bay
8. The Sea Zoo and Pili Palas are just over the Menai on the Isle of Anglesey
9. Llanberis and Snowdon (Eryri) are less than hour away
10. Zip World with zip lines, Fforest Coaster, Quarry Carts, Bounce Below, and more are, in the Snowdonia villages of Bethesda, Betws y Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
And that's why we think Prestatyn is a pretty perfect destination!

What makes this property unique
Built in 1870 as the Laundry for our house, The Old Wash House is now a unique & quirky compact (25'x8') 'guest cottage'.
The main space, now a double bedroom, retains the 19th century washing copper, now a little log-burner. This leads into a micro-kitchen and on to a lounge-dining snug with table + little 2-seater, and lastly a wet room with electric shower.
With town, beach, train/bus stations a 5-min walk away, it's a handy little place to stay for visiting Prestatyn & North Wales!
