About this property
Sandy Sorland's Beach House- stunning seaside home
Sandy Sorland’s Beach House is a fantastic single storey home boasting impressive views from its desirable seafront position. With three bedrooms it’s a fantastic option for families and offers direct access onto the beach. Reached from the Fife Coastal path, a private road leads to the small, exclusive development of just a few houses.
Entering the house, all rooms lead off the central hallway. The well-equipped kitchen has a separate dining area with sea views and patio doors onto the wraparound decking. To the front of the property is the spacious lounge with breathtaking views. Slide open the patio door to bring the outside in or step out to the decking with your morning coffee. Both the main large king bedroom and the double bedroom enjoy uninterrupted sea views, a real treat to wake up to each day. As well as plenty of storage in each bedroom, the large king bedroom has an en-suite shower room with walk in shower. The twin bedroom is spacious and bright and suited to children or adults alike. A large family bathroom with corner bath and separate walk-in shower completes the accommodation.
Sandy Sorland’s is the local name given to the stretch of coastline directly to the front of the house. There is sandy stretch perfect for a picnic blanket and some beachcombing and plenty of rockpools to search too. A short walk to the West takes you to harbourfront of Anstruther where there are bars, cafes, fish and chip takeaways and restaurants and to the East leads to Cellardyke harbour and tidal pool. With the property located directly off the Fife Coastal path, you can enjoy a picturesque walk in either direction to reach the other East Neuk villages.
The area has long been popular with visitors, many who first came as children and now return with their children and grandchildren to make new memories. There is a gentle pace of life here, making it ideal for those seeking a relaxing break by the sea. It’s equally as suited to those seeking an active holiday- as well as miles of unspoilt coastal path for keen walkers, there’s watersports, wild swimming and of course plenty of golf courses to explore. The East Neuk has a vibrant arts community with festivals and other events throughout the year. With such a great array of local producers and fresh produce it’s also a foodie haven with regular farmer’s markets, a Michelin star restaurant, award winning fish and chip shops and friendly village cafes. St Andrews is a 20 minute drive, Edinburgh around one hour making this a great base from which to explore further afield.
