The property is very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The facilities are excellent. We would have liked more shelving in the bathroom for our toiletries and we thought the shower mat looked a bit grimy. The outdoor space was useful for our grandson to run around in. We thought there could have been more toilet rolls. We would definitey return here in the future when we visit our family in Halifax!
Pros: it was across the street from a little corner store. The beds were very comfortable. It was as the listing described and the yard was huge and fully fenced. Would have been a great place to bring a dog. Cons: the communication wasn't the best. We had to message and call numerous times before we were given the instructions to get into the house. We discovered later at night that there was no toilet paper other than a quarter roll, no dishcloths (just a scrubby brush), and some of the dishes were put away dirty. Some of the counters needed a good wipe down as well. There wasn't enough bedding for one of our party to sleep on the pullout futon and when we went to do laundry, it was full of wet towels. I don't know how long they had been sitting in there so we ended up re-washing them, drying and folding them.To be fair I didnt attempt to reach out during our stay to complain as we had already gone to the little corner store to get toilet paper and dish clothes but when I did send a private message upon checkout to give her a heads up in case she wasn't the one who maintains the place, I never got a reply.
Bedrooms setup worked for us & the bungalow was in good condition overall. Beds were comfortable & warm. One of us is particularly sensitive to noise & found the air-conditioning hum not easy to cope with through the night. Skilled parking of a car is recommended.
