KastleRock is a beautiful home with long range views of Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Beach Mountain Ski Resort are both within 10 minutes of the house. Completely private on 5 acres. Completely remodeled in 2017 with beautiful granite, stainless steel countertops, Jacuzzi tub's, extra-large walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads and plenty of room outside to enjoy the views while you soak in our 3rd jacuzzi that can accommodate up to 6 people located outside on the patio.

KastleRock is a 3-story home offering 5 Bedrooms, 2 Master Baths and 3 Family Rooms that sleep a total of 16 guests comfortably. Wi-Fi, Cable, Washer, and Dryer are all available in the home. Remotely Nestled on the front side of Beech Mountain.5 COMPLETELY PRIVATE ACRES with SPECTACULAR views of Grandfather Mountain and Sugar Mountain. With its own private creek and hiking trails. KastleRock is STRATEGICALLY centered within minutes of Beech Mountain Ski Slopes and Sugar Mountain Ski Slopes. Also, perfect year-round with endless hiking and mountain bike trails, Down Hill Mountain Biking, White Water Rafting, kayaking, Caving, Cycling, and Ultimate Trout fishing!!

Within a short drive, you can visit Grandfather Mountain State Park for breathtaking views, 5 minutes to Downtown Banner Elk for eloquent cuisines and 5 minutes to the top of Beech for that down home mountain atmosphere. The Land of OZ, The Highland Games and The Wooly Worm Festival are a don't miss classic to the area. To accommodate most of our guest we have 5 bedrooms, 1 King and 4 Queens that sleep, 10 adults. The additional 6 guest are welcomed on the futon sleeper that is located on the 1st floor and spacious sleeping in 3 family rooms. WE PROVIDE BEDDING AND TOWELS FOR 12 GUEST IF YOU HAVE A LARGER GROUP STAYING AT KASTLEROCK PLEASE BRING EXTRA PILLOWS BLANKETS AND T0WELS.... Both master bathrooms have Hot Tubs and walk-in showers with Rainfall SHOWER HEADS. The kitchen is central on the parking floor with seating for everyone to meet and relax. One of the owners' best friends is Handicapped so attention to door size and accessibility to the main floor Kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and covered areas are thought out. The house is so super nice, and so comfortable! It has a spectacular view. It fit our family nice, and there’s even room to spare. The energy in the house was wonderful. You can tell us a family oriented house. Definitely stay again.

Wonderful home

We stayed at Kastlerock and we loved the house AND the location! There was plenty of space for everyone to not feel confined; the views are amazing; the house is fantastic. The driveway was a little difficult, but it is what it is.

The property is nice but could use some upgrades. There was a broken tile in the master bath and the outdoor area had old, unusable furniture. Overall, this was nice and we had a great time! The location is excellent!

I think I speak for all the groomsmen when I say this was the perfect place for us. Beautiful view, nice kitchen, fantastic bathrooms, plenty of space, and an amazing master suite for the win! And it was only minutes away from the Overlook Barn (wedding venue). We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

GREAT!

Just left this property with a family party of 11. The house was clean and well-maintained. The teenagers enjoyed having their own space in the living room area outside of the master bedroom. The owner, Todd, was extremely responsive. I messaged him about a missing remote control and someone brought us one within 10 minutes. We also enjoyed feeding the family of deer that came through the yard every day at dusk.

Great time at KastleRock!

We had a great family vacation at Kastle Rock. Todd was very helpful from the beginning, my family loves to fish and he shared several great fishing locations with us. The house is a great value for the space and number of bedrooms- houses with similar amenities in the area are priced much higher. Plenty of room for the kids to play downstairs and the adults had their own living rooms. The house has an amazing view and sitting in the hot tub overlooking the mountains is amazing! Will rent again!

Great house for medium amount of guests that’s close to the ski resort

House was 5 minutes from beech mountain ski resort and convenient to almost any needs during the stay. All of the guest with me were happy and enjoyed the house. One of the biggest take always we all commented on was how well the house was stocked with kitchen needs. After renting many houses that’s usually a weak point. We had enough fun that the group decided in a few years we would like to try and get another visit in.

Very nice place, spacious, simply decorated, comfortable beds, and living rooms (one each level), gas fire place on each level, kitchen was well layout, good for large groups to entertain. Lighting was good in bedrooms and living rooms and kitchen. Flat screen tv’s in every room. Convenient to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Glowing Rock etc. Owner very accommodating if you need something there are likely to have it just a few minutes away. Horse and donkey are on adjoining property kids love feeding them.

Once in a life lifetime experience

For me and my family this was our first real vacation and it was one of the most amazing experiences we have had in our lives. I fell in love with this part of North Carolina and everyone was so nice. The houses was more than I could have expect it to be the pictures don’t do it justice. The houses and property are huge , amazing views , very clean , so much to do , and the lady that came to clean the house when we were leaving was absolutely amazing so sweet and caring . I left the houses so nice she was shocked . Lol thank you again will definitely be back .

Family vacation

Really enjoyed out stay. We had 10 people in our party and we had plenty of room for all of us. I wish I had of noticed it only had 2 bathrooms, but that was my fault and we make it work. Todd, the owner, was great to deal with and answered any questions I had right away. The only "issue, I had is that is says it is on 5 acres (and it maybe) but all of the 5 are not usable like I had thought!!! Was a wonderful cabin, but not secluded!!! We had a GREAT and RELAXING time anyway!!! Thanks for everything Todd!! We really enjoyed our stay!!!

You get what you pay for…

Very reasonably priced. We had our elderly in-laws with us… toilets good for handicapped but not the bathing areas and there is no seating in the home suitable for handicapped. All backless stools for dining and a vey low sofa. The living area on the main level reaked of the smell of an ash tray so we weren’t able to spend much time there. Shower heads have zero water pressure, only a drip at times, so you have to wash your hair in the big jacuzzi tubs. Nice game room area! Beautiful views from the hot tub (though it’s on its last leg) Just needs a good cleaning and some updates.

Great Family Getaway

Our family really enjoyed this house! It’s a big house so it was great to be able to spread out. The downstairs game room was a lot of fun! The owner is very responsive (both before we arrived if I had questions and also during our stay). Use caution if you use the grill. We grilled some steaks one night and had a descent flare up from the grease in the grill I think. The hot tub was great and clean! Owner says it’s drained and refilled after each guest’s stay. The laundry in the house was a great perk as well. The house was pretty well equipped when we arrived (kitchen supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.). The access to the dumpster was nice as well. Take notice of the statement in the listing about 4x4 vehicles in the winter. We didn’t have winter weather during our stay but the roads leading up to the house are steep and I could see how winter weather could really affect the accessibility of the house. Overall, a great house! We will probably check out the owner’s other rentals in the area in the future!

Great Place to Stay

We had a great time at Kastlerock! Spent 5 days with 4 adults, 3 kids (4-10 years old), and our dogs, and definitely spacious enough if a few more family members had joined. It was easy access to Beech and Sugar (about 10 minutes); 30 minutes to Grandfather mountain and Hawksnest tubing/zip lining. We even took a little adventure to Apple Hill fiber farm (with alpacas, donkeys, goats that the little ones loved!) (15 minutes). Kastlerock was also conveniently located to Banner Elk dining/shops (5 minutes) and Food Lion to grab groceries (10 minutes). When our day of adventuring in the area was over, coming back to Kastlerock to relax, cook and hang out with family was awesome. We enjoyed relaxing in the 3rd floor living room with the great views of Grandfather and Sugar mountains, or on the main floor while we cooked and snacked and re-hashed the days adventures. The lower level had a pool table and foosball and a few other games that we enjoyed with some epic family tournaments in the evening. The outdoor patio area was great with a grill, hot tub that was clean/amazing, fire pit for making s’mores, corn hole, and just relaxing with the family when the weather was good (we had quite a few rainy days). The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and clean. My husband and I lucked out and drew the master suite on the 3rd floor with great views, spacious, and a killer master bath, so a nice little get-away when we needed a little quiet! Overall, we loved our stay at Kastlerock, had no issues, and would recommend if your looking for a fun family adventure!
