Today, it serves as a vibrant resort and a convenient base for exploring the region’s natural beauty.

Plakias is nestled between two canyons, Kotsifos and Kourtaliotis. The Kourtaliotis River flows through the Kourtaliotiko Gorge, renowned for its dense vegetation and dramatic rock formations on either side. The gorge is a true natural masterpiece and a must-visit for nature lovers.

The village offers a variety of activities, including scuba diving, snorkeling, boat trips, and horse riding.
