Formerly owned by a middle eastern royal family, our apartment has un-paralleled views from its position as the penthouse on the tallest building in Val d’Isere. Purchased in 2017, the apartment was completely gutted down to the concrete and redesigned by the famed TV interior designer Nicky Dobree. https://nickydobree.com. Redesigned and constructed with no expense spared, the apartment is now the height of luxury. Every lamp, table and fitting is in itself an objet d’art. Door handles are of bronze and leather. One feature wall is clad in Swiss leather, another in slate. The large coat cupboard door is a fine example of marquetry. The bathrooms and kitchen are lined in stone from Spain and Croatia, floors and panelling are in light oak. All materials from the demolition and for the reconstruction were brought to this eagles nest by helicopter. The apartment is 165 square meters with views from le Fornet to the Funival at La Daille. When the fireworks go off at the snow front, it feels as if they are a show just for this apartment. One looks straight at Solaise and Belvarde and down on to the snowy roofs of the houses below. The lift opens directly into the apartment, secured with a private key code. From the lobby ,clad in grey stone, one immediately enjoys the magnificent view. The boot locker is to the left and the solid oak front door just ahead. As one passes through, the Swiss leather clad wall is on the left behind the lovely console table and the architectural ‘falling leaves’ light sculpture is to the right. The central corridor with its ceiling feature and floor lights contains an original Simon Kenny artwork ‘Soul’s unrest’. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with two ovens, a microwave/oven, large Fisher and Paykal fridge/ freezer , wine cooler and induction hob. All crockery, cutlery and glassware is of the highest quality. The television lies flat in the fireplace surround and can be viewed over breakfast from the seats on the island or from the dining table. It rotates out to be watched from the sofas when wished. There is terrestrial TV and access to Amazon, Apple and Disney apps. All the usual French and UK channels are available on Sky. Logs will be supplied for the fireplace which acts as a lovely central feature for the room. There is space for one car in the building. There is a large ski locker . A good manual and support will be provided.

Great location, very near to bus stops for the ski lifts and central for restaurants and bars. Beautiful views from the apartment which was very well equipped.
The penthouse apartment was beautiful, clean, had amazing views and felt quite new. Communication before and during our stay was very good and friendly. Mid-week cleaning was provided and good advice was offered on where to eat and rent ski equipment.
