We had a great stay with our extended family for our Sons wedding. The place was large and very comfortable and the location & view of Lake were awesome. The home could use updated outdoor furniture to take advantage of the views. Overall stay was great and would stay here again if we needed a large home in Killarney.
Wonderful experience, owner could not have been more helpful, the house was immaculate, and better than expected. We would stay there again when the opportunity presents. Great accommodation...
Traveled with a large group ranging in age from 4-74. The house was very large to accommodate us, the yard was amazing to have to let the kids run around outside after a long day of bus rides and tours. It’s kind of far from town though. Great for the space and comfort to relax.
Family vacation, 10 Adults and 8 Children. It was not easy to find a house this big in Ireland. The setting is convenient to Killarney but away from the traffic and crowds. Beautiful lake view. Brian our host was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful visit. Highly recommended.
This home is impeccably beautiful and functional for a large family. The location is extraordinary, offering breathtaking views in a peaceful setting but just minutes from the bustle of Killarney. Plenty of parking. We settled in using it as home base to explore County Kerry and surrounds but we also enjoyed the ample room to cook and eat family dinners, closing out the night with a game of cards, pool or foosball. This property is a 10!
Beautiful property!!!! The house is very spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The owner was so friendly and helpful! Perfect for large groups! Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house in an amazing setting! The owners (Brian and Veronica) were so lovely and welcoming. They provided a great experience including a literal feast of breakfast foods! We had breakfast for days! The home is very quiet, clean and in an amazing setting looking out over Lough Leane. We were steps away from Killarney National park and walked down to the most beautiful hiking trails. Brian and Veronica were extremely responsive and friendly. The property manager was slow to respond to inquiries but the owners were fantastic and more than made up for that. I would recommend this home to anyone. It’s a great place for a family gathering and as a home base for the Ring of Kerry. It is also very large so it can accommodate a large group.
This house was perfect for my family vacation! We had 18 adults and it was the perfect amount of space. The house has an amazing view of the lakes right out the front door and was equipped with everything we needed! Brian and Veronica were amazing hosts and live on the property making it very easy to resolve any issues we had during our stay! The house is off a long narrow road so you do have to be careful while driving but it is a gorgeous location. We will definitely look to rent this house again in the future!
We had a fantastic week at this lovely home for a family gathering to celebrate 60th anniversary. The home is lovely single level property with all the modern amenities and charm and views you could wish to have. All the rooms were large and en-suite. The caretaker/owner Brian was helpful and available whenever we needed something or to answer questions and outfitted us with all the essentials. Close to Tomie woods walking trail. Beautiful view of lake Leane. Perfect stay! We’d be glad and lucky to stay again.
We stayed at Catriona’s property with a large group while in Killarney for a wedding. Her property was beautiful and a perfect setting for the celebrations. Amazing location, home and surrounding area made for beautiful photos, and the house itself was large and comfortable even for a group of our size. Perfect location for all the sites. I was a little surprised at first that Catriona lives in a different building on the property, but she never “hovered” or surprised us with a visit, and she was very accommodating!! We would all 1000% stay here again.
The house is absolutely fantastic. The decor the beds the size is incredible. We all loved it. The games room was a major plus for everyone. We did have 1 major fault - no hot water. There were 18 of us and there was only 1 shower that had warm water - all the rest were Baltic. 1 of the toilets was also broken - but this house is stunning. And we would definitely book again.

Hi Veronica,
I am so sorry to learn about the water issue. This is caused when a valve in one of the showers is not turned correctly. It is labelled . We could have resolved this immediately . So sorry for the inconvenience . I am glad you enjoyed your stay overall :)
Our stay at this home in Killarney exceeded all of our expectations! What a beautiful location and great choice for our 10 person multigenerational (ages 23months-75yo) family trip. Everyone had their own space but also plenty of great options to hang together as well. The owners were kind, responsive and laid back. The views were gorgeous and it’s perfectly located in a little nook close to all the adventures of Killarney and Ring of Kerry. The only real issue, which may just be par for the course in a highly humid environment, is the basement level, while clean and well set up, had a definite mustiness to it. So anyone with allergies/sensitivities to musty basements, just be mindful. The family members who used the basement bedrooms didn’t seem to mind it. Just a really lovely stay in a really lovely part of the world!
We recently stayed at this luxury eight-bedroom home with our family, and while our visit was brief—just two nights—it was truly memorable. The highlight of the property is, without question, the spectacular, unobstructed views of the Killarney Lakes and Mountains. Waking up to the sight of the mountain peak emerging above the morning clouds was absolutely magical and made for some incredible photos. The location was ideal—peaceful and scenic, yet just a short drive to the heart of Killarney. On our first night, we took a quick 10-minute drive to Kate Kearney's Cottage, where we enjoyed an unforgettable evening of Irish food, traditional music, and dancing. Highly recommended! The next day, we explored the area with a hop-on/hop-off tour and had a very special family moment—our son proposed to his fiancée beneath the ancient yew tree at Muckross Abbey.Although we didn’t spend much time at the house due to our packed itinerary, it was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for a large group. We would love to return for a longer stay to fully enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Unfortunately this property did not live up to our expectations. The property itself was lovely but there were a number of issues with how it is being maintained. For example,
House became invested with flies during the stay. Reported that they may have come in through the chimney. We asked for the issue to be resolved but not all spaces were cleaned.
No one on site to greet or no information on use of house available.
Kitchen was under stocked for such a large house.
Towels were too few and too small.
Mattresses were too soft in many of the rooms.
This house has great potential for a large group but is clearly not ready.
These issues were reported to the owner with no accountability.

In over 13 years of hosting multiple properties this is one of the worst guest experiences we have had.
This guest did not communicate an arrival time with us so it was impossible to be there when they arrived. Clear check in instructions were provided in any case.
There were two general information sheets in the house. In spite of this this guest decided to email us expecting an immediate reply at midnight.
A phone number was provided and the owner was at the other end if they needed anything. When they called about the flies (harmless and approx 20) this was tended to immediately. It was in no way an infestation but we have treated the property to be sure.
The beds are all high end and mostly imported from the U.S. where the owner lived. There are in no was inferior quality as suggested. Mattresses are obviously a matter of personal preference.
There were enough towels for 18 guests and more could have been provided on request.
This guest subsequently emailed us implying a negative review should we not provide a satisfactory response. As our response was not satisfactory she requested a 25% discount for her 'multiple inconveniences' . This was in spite of the fact she received a beautiful house that sleeps 18 people for two nights for a rate of less than €60 per person per night .
I would also like to point out this group left this house in poor condition and made no attempt to clear up in any way before they left. They didn't even run a dishwasher.
A poor experience overall!
