Built in 1753 Geneva Cottage is one of the oldest domestic dwellings houses in Darlington Geneva Cottage is a short walking distance of Darlington main Train Station; On a main bus route both in and out of Darlington; within 1 mile of Darlington town centre. Within a 5 minute walk to various local shops and takeaways Double & Twin room will be allocated a secure parking space, on site, upon request This detached house boasts an outside eating area alongside the Kio fish pond. We are currently transformed this area to create a peaceful oasis for travellers by summer 2024 Neighbourhood information
Darlington is a town full of history and culture , with many things to do including: Darlington Hippodrome has something for everyone - from musicals to drama and underwent a major refurbishment and rebrand started in 2016 and is expected to be completed later this year. The Forum is home to a number of gigs as well as a weekly film club and cafe bar. Crown Street Library and champions innovative and exciting new artwork by local and regional artists, community groups and Croft Circuit hosts prestigious motorsports event such as British Touring Cars and club level racing. Sports and Leisure The Dolphin Centre contains a swimming pool, gym and hosts several fitness classes - including the ever-popular Zumba! For the train spotters within us there is the brick train and the old Darlington Train station There is also a wide range of cafes and restaurant's and we even have Bistros with a pavement cafe where you can relax with a drink and some food and watch the world go by. Geneva Cottage is split into two living areas providing guest with various options from tranquil living, to chitchatting with others or having a romantic weekend away with their partner.
As the host you will sometimes find me working outside to improving the Koi pond and the garden area; I am always happy to say hi but equally happy to leave you with your thoughts as you plan your next day.
Why they chose this property
Geneva Cottage Darlington was strategically purchased as the property is only a few minutes walk from the main train station. Its absolutely prefect for commuters! The station is currently undergoing a major transformation to become the national networks flagship and the hub of the North East .
Neasham Road leads directly onto the A66 which then leads onto the A67 and the A1(M) making it the perfect location for trade, travellers and holiday makers.

Geneva Cottage was built in 1753 making it one of the oldest residential dwellings in Darlington, sadly none of the original features remain;
However the Cottage boasts a Koi pond with its own external seating area. In the warmer weather some guests find it therapeutic to sit outside and watch the Koi whilst they eat a meal or snack
