The immediate access from Crowcombe to the breathtaking Quantock Hills, England’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, invites you to explore the wonders of the great outdoors. It is no surprise that the Quantock Hills inspired the romantic poets Taylor Coleridge and William Wordsworth. Coleridge wrote some of his most famous poems when living in Nether Stowey, one of the Quantock Villages, in a property now owned by the National Trust.

The comfortable bedroom features a super kingsize bed. The spacious en-suite shower room boasts a double shower cubicle. The living/dining area is well-appointed with a kitchenette. Both the bedroom and the living area open onto a delightful sundeck with a table and chairs, where you can savour your morning coffee while taking in the picturesque garden and the expansive open countryside.

Should your outdoor adventures leave you with wet clothes and muddy boots, fear not, as the owners’ house provides a dedicated space with a washing machine and tumble dryer at your disposal.

Very nice venue quiet stay the only small issues for our stay was work space in kitchenette Very limited no freezer just small box in fridge. We also booked this venue because it cattered for dogs but you could not walk from property due to main road outside and no walkable foot path hence they had to be taken in the car twice a day. We did enjoy the four day break. Just need to be prepared to use your car if you have issues with walking distances.

Very welcoming, friendly hosts and dog.

Very welcoming, friendly hosts and dog. The garden is spacious, beautiful and secure. The garden room was modern, very comfortable with reclining sofa, king size bed all over looking the garden. A great bathroom, well equipped kitchen.Perfect base for sightseeing. Loved the hills, reservoir, seaside, plenty of dog friendly places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay. Great value.

Long weekend

A very comfortable and cosy private retreat, clean and well looked after property, a nice and welcome touch to leave out various toiletries, milk in the fridge and some fresh flowers. Lovely friendly hosts.
