You will love the cosy feel of this welcoming cottage which has original features and lots of character. You will also love the quiet location in the Duddon Valley, surrounded by scenery and wildlife.. Ground Floor:

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Bidet, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Cot, highchair and stairgate, on request. External games room with tennis table, pool table and football table (shared with other property on site). Enclosed front garden with garden furniture and barbecue (shared with other property on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. The front door opens into the open plan living/dining area which is a welcoming area to socialise in, either around the table over a game of cards or by sitting in front of a roaring log fire. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the amenities and equipment you require to prepare a picnic or Sunday roast dinner. Upstairs are three bedrooms comprising a master bedroom with a double bed, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. The accommodation is completed with two bathrooms, one with a bath and the second with a shower cubicle. There are shared gardens with the adjoining property, and the properties share access to a barn which offers table tennis, pool and table football. Pets are also allowed.

The immediate area around the cottage is a walkers’ and cyclists’ paradise with a selection of fells, pikes and woods to explore. Within 30 minutes’ drive you can be at Coniston Water, the site of the famous Donald Campbell water speed world record. A short 10 minutes’ drive away is the market town of Broughton-in-Furness. Broughton has excellent amenities including a selection of local shops, a tourist information centre and petrol station. In and around Broughton you will also find some of the excellent pubs, including several award winners, many offering good quality food alongside their real ales and roaring fires, you will be spoilt for choice as to where to dine out.

For a family day out there is plenty to offer such as South Lakes Safari Zoo at nearby Dalton, Muncaster Castle with its owl sanctuary, Eskdale Miniature Railway, the Lakes Aquarium and boat trips on Coniston Water and Lake Windermere. You’ll never be short of something to do.
