Located in the picturesque town of Brixham, Heathcliff is the perfect base for those wanting to experience all the sights and sounds this coastal fishing port has to offer. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre you will find it the perfect base from which to explore, as well as a great place to relax at the end of a busy day. Brixham town is easily reached by foot with a 15 minute walk, where you can visit the harbour area and all the sights and attractions the town has to offer. The nearby popular beaches of St Mary's Bay and Mansands are not to be missed on your visit and benefit from being dog friendly throughout the year (perfect if you are bringing your pooch with you!)

- As a self catering property it's useful to know what is included in your stay. This property includes a small welcome/starter pack to help you on your first day of arrival. This consists of 2 toilet rolls, washing up liquid, 2 dishwasher tablets, a washing up cloth, sponge & tea towel and tea, coffee & milk sachets. Cupboard staples and any other extras are not as standard and so we recommend ensuring you have your own supplies of anything else required.
Neighbourhood Description
Step out of the front door and you will find yourself in within minutes of Berry Head Nature Reserve an internationally acclaimed heritage site. Explore the Napoleonic forts or take in the spectacular views of Torbay and beyond. From here you can find coastal walks, spot local wildlife on land and sea then finish your visit off by sampling some local fare in the award-winning Guardhouse Café.
Wander towards the coast and you will find Shoalstone seawater swimming pool. Set in a stunning position on Brixham sea front and one of the very few seawater pools left in the country it is a must on your list of things to experience.
Brixham has long been famed for its links to the sea, and now has an up and coming culinary scene to add to its armoury, with an increasing number of independent cafés and delightful restaurants offering ingredients landed just a stones’ throw from their doorstep. For walkers, The South West Coast Path will take you as far as your legs will carry you, and entertaining the little ones couldn’t be easier with Paignton Zoo, The Dartmouth Steam Railway and Splashdown @ Quay West all within a short drive.
Getting around
Heathcliff is the perfect place to be able to explore all Brixham has to offer by foot. If you fancy venturing further afield why not take one of the passenger ferries across to Torquay or around Berry Head and over to Dartmouth? The bus station located in central Brixham has a regular bus service which runs via Paignton to Torquay. You can pick up the South West Coast path in either direction and enjoy miles of stunning coastal walking routes.
