About this property

Secluded and tranquil retreat between mountain and sea Encil diarffordd, tawel

As soon as you start driving down the private mountain road to Nant Gwrtheyrn you’re met with the most spectacular views of heather sweeping down to the sea. Nestled between the ruins of a once bustling granite quarry is Tŷ Canol, once an old barn now converted into 4 self catering accommodation awaiting guests that long for the peace and tranquility of this hidden gem on the Llŷn Peninsula.
Tŷ Canol offers an open plan kitchenette with fridge, microwave and single induction ring and a lounge with sofa bed with mountain views dotted with old mine and past agricultural ruins. The downstairs also provides a shower room. Walking up stairs you are welcomed by a king size bed and Velux window.
The floors and furniture are made of solid oak by Welsh craftsmen. There is a traditional Welsh blanket specially designed for Nant Gwrtheyrn by Melin Tregwynt on each bed. Free WIFI is also available in Tŷ Canol and the onsite café offers a varied selection of drinks, snacks and cakes.
Nant Gwrtheyrn is the home of the National Welsh language and heritage centre and the Wales Coast path meanders down to the beach past the free car parking spaces for guests. No street lights provides the perfect opportunity to admire the night skies of this remote, inspiring location. No television highlights the golden sound of silence.

Cyn gynted ag y byddwch yn dechrau gyrru i lawr y ffordd fynydd breifat i Nant Gwrtheyrn fe’ch cyfarfyddir â’r golygfeydd mwyaf trawiadol o rug yn ysgubo i lawr i’r môr. Yn swatio rhwng adfeilion chwarel wenithfaen a fu unwaith yn brysur yn ei anterth mae Tŷ Canol, a oedd unwaith yn hen ysgubor bellach wedi’i thrawsnewid yn 4 llety hunanarlwyo yn disgwyl gwesteion sy’n dyheu am heddwch a llonyddwch y berl gudd hon ym Mhen Llŷn.
Mae Tŷ Canol yn cynnig cegin fach cynllun agored gydag oergell, microdon a chylch anwytho sengl. Ceir lolfa gyda gwely soffa â golygfeydd mynyddig yn frith o hen fwynglawdd ac adfeilion amaethyddol y gorffennol. Mae'r llawr gwaelod hefyd yn darparu ystafell gawod. Wrth gerdded i fyny'r grisiau fe'ch croesewir gan wely maint brenin a ffenestr Velux.
Mae'r lloriau a'r dodrefn wedi'u gwneud o dderw solet gan grefftwyr Cymreig. Mae blanced draddodiadol Gymreig wedi’i dylunio’n arbennig ar gyfer Nant Gwrtheyrn gan Melin Tregwynt ar bob gwely. Mae WIFI am ddim hefyd ar gael yn Nhŷ Canol ac mae'r caffi ar y safle yn cynnig dewis amrywiol o ddiodydd, byrbrydau a chacennau.
Nant Gwrtheyrn yw cartref y Ganolfan Gymraeg a Threftadaeth Genedlaethol ac mae llwybr Arfordir Cymru yn ymdroelli i lawr i’r traeth heibio’r mannau parcio rhad ac am ddim i westeion. This is a fabulous place to stay, and as described, absolutely secluded and tranquil.Accommodation was a high standard, in beautiful and historic surroundings. The pebbly beach is less than 20mins walk from the cafe which was friendly and has the most amazing view.Highly recommended & excellent value
