About the host
Hosted by Pam Mayo

My partner and I bought our small touring caravan park a year ago and added Fiona later. She was named by our 5 year old granddaughter because she's big and green, you can't argue with that!! We've lived in North Wales for 8 years and love it. There is so much to explore, we are always finding new places and love sharing them with our guests. Garry 'tinkers' with cars all day, when he's not mowing the grass, and I enjoy playing tennis and other sports. Our 6th decade is proving to most interesting.
Why they chose this property
Our park is adult only but we do allow children in Fiona because she's set in her own walled garden and very private. There's plenty of space to wander around outside the chalet and the lounge area is very comfortable. You have the best of both worlds in Fiona, the outside is easily accessible and if it's raining and your inside the large windows allow you to a panoramic view of the garden. There is central heating and a gas fire for those cooler evenings to keep you cosy. Y Madryn (the local pub) is a short drive away (about one mile) and they serve both bar and restaurant meals. The coastal town of Criccieth is a 3 mile drive (or walk) where there are numerous pubs and cafes together with a castle and lovely beach and esplanade. We keep maps of the area for guests use and are always happy to share our 'favourite' places.
What makes this property unique
The Welsh Coastal Path is on our doorstep. You can travel in either direction and find spectacular scenery and interesting towns and villages. It's also an ideal area for cyclists, paddle boarders, surfers, tennis players and golfers. However, if all you want to do is curl up with a book, we have very comfy loungers! Exploring the coves and beaches is a favourite of ours, especially when we find a super cafe with cakes!
