Want to experience a bit of British boating culture whilst enjoying London’s historical landmarks

Ideal for 6 people, our London canal boat can sleep guests in a double bedroom, another double bedroom and two double-bed sofas. The kitchen, bathroom and decks have everything for a comfortable stay on this unique vessel.

Located along the Grand Union canal in central London we're only 20-30 mins to many famous sites (eg Big Ben) - so come enjoy this unique experience and welcome aboard!

Our canal boat is ideal for a couple, large family or group of friends visiting London to see its most famous landmarks. It offers a bright open-plan kitchen and lounge, full bathroom, 2 cosy bedrooms and 2 double-bed sofas to sleep up to 8 guests.

The boat's stern has a comfortable deck allowing for early sunrise breakfasts or relaxing dinners under the stars - or lets guests have a relaxing cup of tea whilst watching ducks and swans feeding in the canal.

A few considerations for your (more eco-conscious) stay on a canal boat:

1. Constant cruising - The canal boat moors along the Grand Union canal and the short route to her exact location along the easy-to-access towpath will be provided after booking

2. Eco-friendly stoves - for cool London evenings we offer an energy-efficient Ethanol heater as an alternative to a wood or coal-burning stove

3. Engine heated water - the canal boat's engine heats up plenty of hot water for showers

4. Power Bank accelerator - the canal boat runs on solar power so excellent power banks are on standby to help charge phones, laptops and LED lights throughout the boat. Please note - like most canal boats - ours was not originally designed to run hair dryers, irons and other electricity-hungry appliances and devices.

You may find staying on our canal boat a more interesting and unusual experience than your standard hotel or apartment - and our boat has what you need for a memorable break in central London.

Guests have full access to the whole canal boat. Although the boat is moored for the duration of your stay, we might be able to offer a short tour down the famous Grand Union canal depending on the weather and host availability.

Fabulous experience

Loved our stay on this barge. Thomas was a great host. I’m not very techno minded, it would have been helpful if there was a copy of all instructions on the boat. Other than that perfect. We even had a tour on the canal to Camden, perfection in its self. X

Lovely Canal Boat Stay

The overall experience of staying on the boat was great! Everything was nice and clean. The beds were VERY comfy! The host was very communicative with everything since there were a lot of bits to staying here. The host also took us for a ride down the canal and it was wonderful!! Highly recommend this VRBO.
