The home was beautifully appointed and more than met our needs. Paula and David were a wonderful team and gracious hosts! We couldn’t be happier with our stay. A must see community!
We had a wonderful stay at this charming 3-bedroom cottage in the heart of the Douro Valley. The house was spacious, clean, and full of character, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Each bedroom was cozy and well-appointed, and the living areas offered plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. What made the cottage truly special was its location — close to many of the region’s highlights, including world-class wineries, the scenic N222 drive, and river cruises along the Douro. We loved waking up to vineyard views and enjoying quiet evenings on the terrace with a glass of local wine. The outdoor space was another highlight, perfect for taking in the surrounding beauty. Access does require a car, but that’s true for most places in the Douro, and driving through the valley is part of the experience. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made check-in seamless. Their local tips for dining and sightseeing were spot-on.Overall, this cottage is an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore the Douro Valley — peaceful, comfortable, and well located. Highly recommended!
