Great location, some issues with communication and provided amenities

The place is perfectly situated in the old town of Tarifa. Everything within the old town is walkable. It's also an easy walk to the beach, the port, and parts of the new town. The apartment is comfortable and the rooftop terrace is great for stargazing. The wall-heaters work well. The kitchen has what's needed although the refrigerator is very small. Some issues we encountered: The listing claims that the apartment includes a washer and dryer but only a small clothes washer is present. This becomes an issue because of the extreme shortage of towels provided: only one small bath towel per guest and a few small kitchen/hand towels. The lockbox is labeled "Townhouse" not "Apartment." The lockbox labeled "Apartment" is not the one to use for this listing. The only way that VRBO provided for me to communicate with the owner was via a 44 telephone number. VRBO was unable to mediate any communication with the owner. This makes me question the purpose for which VRBO exists. If VRBO is merely a listing site and all communication is to be made directly between the guest and owner via telephone, I struggle to see why VRBO takes anything other than a small, nominal percentage of the payment for that minimal service.
