Agent quote:
There are few properties that I have seen that have had quite such a total and stunning refurbishment carried out on them. The style is superb and I can quite see why it has proved a popular rental property.

Additional Review:
We rented the property at Flat 2 Thomond House last year during the summer. We loved it so much that we returned this year to stay again. It really felt like a home with beautiful, cosy decoration and perfect utilities. The flat is furnished very nicely and makes great use of the space to make it feel bigger. The bed is probably the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and the bathroom and kitchen have everything you need to feel at home.
The location is ideal as you can walk on to the high street and have easy access to the restaurants, shops and gym as well as being able to park just outside or round the corner. Laura the landlady was frieNdly and easy to deal with and helped us out with anything we needed. We loved staying here and would definitely go back again.

About the host

I came to Midhurst to play polo at Cowdray and fell in love with the place. I bought The Loft as a near-derelict flat and transformed it through blood, sweat and tears — stripping back mouldy plasterwork to reveal the stunning brickwork you see today. Much of the furniture is hand-painted by me in a shabby chic upcycled style. My faithful companion Monty helped throughout — he nearly got built into a wardrobe at one point! He loved this area as much as I do — swimming in the rivers, walking the South Downs and visiting The Kennels at Goodwood. Midhurst is one of the most dog-friendly towns in the South — dogs are welcome in virtually all the restaurants, pubs and cafes here, just as Monty was!

Why they chose this property

Midhurst is one of West Sussex’s hidden gems — wonderful independent restaurants, cafes, pubs, a butcher and baker all within walking distance, and almost all dog friendly. Cowdray polo, the iconic ruins and walled garden are on the doorstep, and the South Downs offer endless walking, cycling and stargazing. The Kennels at Goodwood is a short drive away — a must for dog lovers. It’s a truly special corner of England.

What makes this property unique

The Loft is the only property in Midhurst where you can see the iconic Cowdray ruins from your window. The exposed brickwork, open fire and entirely hand-restored interior make it genuinely one of a kind — no two surfaces are the same. Sleeping up to 4 across two bedrooms, it offers the character and warmth of a boutique bolthole at exceptional value. Dog friendly and perfectly placed for South Downs walks straight from the door.
