Elevator Broken whole five day stay
We arrived at 11 PM on a Saturday night after a long day of travel to find the elevator not working. No one answered our calls. We were traveling with our 83-year-old mother who has stage four cancer and why we specifically booked a building with an elevator. We messaged the host and unfortunately started carrying bags up to the third floor, which was really four flights upstairs up. Eventually someone showed and carry one bag up, but it would’ve been nice to have received a phone call indicating that someone was on their way. We requested multiple times to be moved to a comparable Hostwise facility with an elevator as the three flights plus one were very difficult on our mother and not that easy for two 60 year-old women. Continuously we were told they were sorry and they would let us know and every time we asked for an update they were sorry and they understood . We finally gave up. When help bringing the luggage down on our departure day was requested, they told us they didn’t have anybody working at 8:30 in the morning on a Thursday. We had to pay for a porter and we were only given a 10% discount which was 100 and the porter cost 50.DO NOT RENT!Additionally, the bathrooms had mold and smelled extremely musty. The showers were extremely small. It’s stated there were two double beds in 2 of the rooms and 2 twin beds in the 3rd room, but there were twin beds in 2 of the rooms and a double bed in one. The twin beds were extremely narrow by American standards.
