About this property

Rose Cottage - Tankerton

This stunning detached cottage is located on the border of Tankerton and Whitstable, meaning it is perfectly situated for exploring all that the local area has to offer. Tankerton beach is just 500m away and being slightly quieter than neighbouring Whitstable makes it ideal for families. Tankerton also offers a lovely selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and even a microbrewery to explore. Neighbouring Whitstable is only 1 mile away and is perfect for keen foodies with its wide array of places to eat and drink. Why not enjoy a visit to Whitstable Castle or follow the Crab and Winkle Way from Whitstable to Canterbury, or take a bike ride along the seafront to Herne Bay (5 miles). Visitors can also enjoy a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing, and for those seeking a spot of heritage, Canterbury is just 7 miles away and is the home of the country’s oldest cathedral and the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture.
Step into the hallway where there is space for hanging coats and dropping off buckets and spades before heading into the warm and cosy lounge/diner which overlooks the garden. Relax after a busy day at the beach on one of the two comfy sofas, settle down to watch a film on the Smart TV or curl up in the rocking chair in the reading nook with a good book. The dining area comfortably seats six, making it ideal for mealtimes or an evening of family board games, and the adjoining kitchen is well-equipped for all your culinary needs. Completing the ground floor is a snug with a full-size single day bed and a Smart TV. Perfect for teenagers who would like their own space or for multi-generational families, as this room also benefits from an en-suite shower room. Heading upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bunk room, and completing the first floor is the family bathroom.
Patio doors from the lounge lead out into the fully enclosed garden which has a lovely beach theme and patio furniture. Enjoy a spot of outside entertaining, or just kick back, relax and soak up the sunshine.

Lovely English seaside town
The location was excellent, far enough from the sea front to avoid a lot of local traffic and with off street parking, but less that 10 minutes stroll from the town centre and the beach. Many good quality restaurants, bars and pubs near buy and lovely seafront walks on offer.
