You will enjoy the tranquility of this 2,482' sqft cabin situated on 1.78 acres on the border of the Black Hills. It's just minutes away from Keyhole State Reservoir, 28 miles from Devils Tower and 74 miles to Sturgis. It has 3 bedrooms, one loft room 8'Wx16'L perfect for the kids hide-away and the office has a Captains bed for an additional single. There are two 22" high queen air mattresses as well for those adventurous to sleep on the deck. The cabin can comfortably sleep 7 adults, 2 children (loft) and there is plenty of floor and garage space. The entertainment room is the hidden jewel with a surround sound home theater system, large 45" flat screen TV and regulation size billiards table. The cabin was renovated in 2016. You will have decent cell connection for Verizon and good cell connection with AT&T. There is excellent FM/AM reception, however this is rustic and there is NO cable/satellite TV; but plenty of DVD's and VHS movies to watch. The jacazzi regretfully is down for maintenance at this time.

Loved the location and the peace and quiet. We were volunteering for the International Pathfinders Camporee in Gillette and it was wonderful to get away from the hustle when the day was finished.
This was a family vacation. We really enjoyed our stay.
This is a very clean house and is well stocked. It is located in a quiet area and is a great place to relax. The owners were great to work with.
Great location for a family reunion. It was very spacious and offered plenty of room outside for boats and campers. It is within a couple of miles from the lake. Our family had a good time. Communication with the property owner was very good.
If you are looking for solitude, quiet, peaceful, this is the place to go to, even tho there are other homes nearby. The houses are spaced far enough from each other and the trees block the view....a perfect getaway!! I highly recommend this rental and we are hoping to return. When asking for help setting up the DVD player, the caretaker was over helping us within minutes. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, EVERYTHING was well stocked. You won't be disappointed if it is peace and quiet you are wanting!
We woke up Thanksgiving morning to wild turkeys and deer in the front yard. The kids loves them. House was perfect for our family. Owners were great to work with on dates.
We really enjoyed our stay. . Our grand ones loved the attic. Loved the show and tell throughout the house with about our hosts. The perfect location to hang out with our daughter and family. Would definitely stay again.
A perfect getaway for my family traveling with 4 young boys. Plenty of room for them to play outside after a day of sightseeing. The. Visiting deer, rabbits and turkeys delighted us all. The property was well stocked with any extra we might have forgotten. The owner was very gracious about our last minute booking and super easy to work with. The travel distance to all the major sights was well worth it knowing that at the end of the day we had this fantastic property to return to and relax.
We absolutely loved staying here! The home was exceptionally clean, very spacious, in a beautiful location. It was all we expected! There were seven of us in our party, and we used this place as our "home base" after day rides on our motorcycles to the Black Hills, Devil's Tower, and more. It was a great place to come home to and relax & enjoy the peace & quiet. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home to us for our summer adventure!
Absolutely perfect place for a family to stay! Well stocked! Large enough for a family get together. Plenty of room for boat parking. The managers were the nicest people! Can’t say enough good things about this property! Looking forward to coming back next year!
Worked perfect for our group of 6 for the week of hunting! The house had everything we needed. Lots of room for everyone. Ample parking for three vehicles and trailers. The pool table was great too! We are definitely thinking of coming back next year but perhaps a bit later.
Great location, even without tv the kids loved it. There was plenty of room to stretch out. The wildlife were so much fun the kids even named the bunnies.
Nice Cabin in the Wood - Not Consistent with Images
There were some significant safety concerns in the property, primary was exposed insulation that could become toxic if caught fire.
The refrigerator was almost full leaving little room for our groceries during our stay.
Be aware there is no internet on site, you have to use your own cellular service if available.
Nice place for that secluded but connected feel. Listing was as described, felt very comfortable after long days in the sun at Keyhole. Playing pool at night was another perk!
Whispering Pines is definitely a jewel in the woods. It is a lovely home with plenty of room to spread out. The home has been well maintained and is well stocked. There is a double car garage available to store motorcycles, atv, etc. We enjoyed watching the deer, bunnies and turkeys. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return!
We enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pine, it was easy to find and everything was just as the posting said. The grandkids enjoyed watching the wildlife and the view off the front deck. We loved the hike at Devils Tower and enjoyed Keyhole as well. We went to the fireworks in Gillette, they were amazing. Turned 60 very easily here. A quiet peaceful place !!!

Wyoming is our home. My wife's family homesteaded south of Wright, Wyo in 1917 and this will be our home when we retire in 2023 from our service to our country supporting our military. We both ride Harley's and have enjoyed our annual vacation to our cabin visiting family, friends and riding our Harley's.
Why they chose this property
We've had many friends stay at the cabin over the years and the one common theme is that it's peaceful; out of the rat race and definitely the craziness of Sturgis. But you're close enough to ride into Sturgis the backway missing the crowds to enjoy the daytime experience and then head home for some RR.
What makes this property unique
Coffee on the deck in the morning, listening to nature and watching the wildlife come by for a visit. Get to know the "Girls" wild/tame deer and turkey. Grandkids sure do get a kick out of feeding them out of their hands.
