Beautiful house, great location

We stayed as a group of 6 brothers aged 55 - 73 on a self drive D Day landings tour. It was a great location from which to explore both the US and British/Canadian sectors. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby and a very handy small supermarket only 4 minutes walk away. Thank you to Martine and Baudouin who were great hosts, great communication and a seamless check in and check out process. We hope to return to the house soon.

Terrific house

The house is conveniently located, near shops and the beach and had supplies of everything to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable. Rooms were beautifully appointed and large. We made use of the lovely enclosed garden and the large dining room for large gatherings (13) of local and travelling relatives. Parking our large van was easy in front of the house. The owners made themselves available by phone, text and email. Great experience! Highly recommend.

Wonderful gem in Normandy

This house was a wonderful find for us! We were a family of 6 and at the end of our vacation where we had been in small apartments so the extra room was perfect. It is three levels with a toilet(water closet)on each level. The second floor has three bedrooms with a tub/shower and the third level has three bedrooms with two showers and sinks. Very spacious with updated plumbing and kitchen. The garden/courtyard was beautiful and plenty of room in the dining room. The kitchen was very well equipped and was lovely. I would love to come back and stay a month to explore the region at a slower pace.

Propriété supercharmante, hyperbien equipée, très propre et très bien placée. (La seule chose à faire attention sont les voisins à droite très bruyants jusqu'au petites heures).

Greeted by the Housekeeper, who while very informative, had to phone her son to act as an intepretor

The property is exactly as we imagined a typical French house to be and had all the facilities required for an enjoyable stay. Would have been helpful if one of our party spoke French so we could communicate with the Housekeeper without having to use her son as an interpretor - our bad for being lazy Englishmen. The owners even made allowance for some minor repair work they are needing to undertake and this was much appreciated. The property is well located to make access to the shopping area and beach area a short walk. If you have a large family and wish to stay in Courseulles-sur-Mer then we would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Fabulous family holiday

We had a lovely stay in August. We were two families with children and the house was just perfect for us. The owners and the lady receiving us were very friendly and and made us feel welcome. The whole house is nicely furnished and very well equipped. The fully enclosed backyard was ideal for the children to play in - and for a wonderful dinner outside with the plancha grill and some fresh seafood from the fish market nearby. It is just a short walk to the beach and the shops. Still the neighbourhood is very quiet. The house is also situated perfectly for exploring the beautiful area. We especially enjoyed a day in Bayeux and a visit to Honfleur and the Calvados distillery Château du Breuil. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others.

Cette agréable maison est située au centre de Courseulles. Elle est proche des commerces, de la plage et du port. L'accès aux différents lieux d'histoire(Bayeux, Caen et les plages du debarquement) est très facile, d'autant que les proprietaires mettent à notre disposition des livres et une documentation interessants.Le lieu et la maison permettent de reunir une famille. Petits et grands trouvent leur place facilement .Le jardinet clos, bien équipé, rassurera les parents inquiets.Lors de notre depart, nous avons eu la chance de faire connaissance avec les proprietaires chaleureux.

Super week-end

Superbe week-end en famille en centre ville et à deux pas de la plage et du marché aux poissons. La maison est très bien aménagée, et rien n'y manque. La déco est simple et dans le style de la maison. On s'y sent bien. De plus, la cour fermée permet aux enfants de jouer en toute sécurité. Merci aux propriétaires et à la dame en charge de l'accueil pour leur gentillesse et la facilité d'arrangement pour l'arrivée et le départ. Une adresse à retenir obligatoirement pour un prochain séjour.

Pleasant stay in Normandie

We are a large family of ten with old parents and young grandchildren. We spent six nights in this lovely house in Courseulles. Aside from a minor misunderstanding about hot water the stay was very pleasant, all facilities working, a kitchen with all necessary equipment, beautiful fireplace and a nice backyard. Both the owners and the people receiving us on site were very kind and helpful. We had no problems reaching them when needed. All together we are very satisfied and if we ever go back we would't have any trouble renting this house again.

Cuisine et salles de bains récentes et très confortables pour cette maison ancienne en l'état. Literies à rénover. Salle à manger trop fragile pour famille avec enfants (housses blanches, bibelots, table en verre etc..) Bien située, près de la mer. Jardin agréable. Bon séjour.
