About this property
Yr Wyddfa, The Old School
The Old School Caeathro has been recently renovated to a high standard and lovingly converted to three stylish holiday homes, Yr Wyddfa is the one on the right. It has all the mod cons but retains its old charm. Its central location makes it ideal for touring all the main tourist attractions in North Wales. Whether outdoor activities, beeches, mountains, culture or historic sites you are looking for, they are all close by. We take up to two dogs, at a charge of £30 per pet per stay.
The space
There are two double bedrooms to the back off the property and a bathroom upstairs. The ceilings are sloped, floors are natural varnished wood. One of the bedrooms has a very large arched window; the other a triangular window and velux .Recently converted with masses of insulation the house is very warm and bright and full of character. The beds are double and one is low because of the sloped ceilings.
The third bedroom is down stairs it is smaller and has bunk beds, great for children but sturdy enough for adults too.
The bathroom is tiled on the walls and floors, so be careful not to slip if it is wet. It has a shower over the bath, and there is always lots of hot water.
The living area, is large, open and light, and has tiled flooring, so slippers would be useful to bring; The open wooden stairs go up from this room to the bedrooms. The stylish, oak kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need, and is to one side and living area. To the other side is the sitting area with lovely fireplace, and plenty of seating with a very large sofa and two arm chairs. There is a flat screen free view television, books, dvds, tourist info, music cds, and wi fi, for your entertainment. The dining table is behind the sitting area and next to patio door it sits. All furnishings are to a high standard.
This open room is great when you all want to be together on holiday, you can cook, watch t.v, chat, use the wi fi etc in the same space.
Heating and water are electric and this is included.
The designated patio area is through the patio doors, it is totally fenced off so safe for children and pets if the doors are left open. There is a garden table and chairs to sit 6 and a barbeque. Snowdon and Eryri the properties next door have a designated area close to it and this can be used as a large communal space for both properties if friends or family book together
You can book the properties together for a bigger group. Snowdon sleeps four, and Yr wyddfa sleeps six. So parties of 2,4, 6, 10, 12 or 16 can be accommodated. Please see further entries for Snowdon, and Yr Wydffa at the Oldschool, or request details of these properties from the owner.

Interaction with guests
We usually call or messahe you the week before your arrival with the Key safe number so that you can let yourselves in after 4pm . We can go through all the details you will need and answer any of your questions. You will be given our phone numbers and the house keepers so if you need us to pop over or answer any questions when you are here that's no problem. We can also e mail or text you any details you need prior to your arrival .
Other things to note
The local shop and garage combined, is a third of a mile away, and sells most things you need. Caernarfon is 1.7 miles away and has all amenities, as well as been an Historic centre.
The nearest restaurant and take away are 1 mile away.
Guest access
The whole house and private enclosed patio at the back through the patio doors
Other things to note
The double glazed windows and velux roof windows all have vents at the top. We tend to leave them open for good ventilation. If there is a draft or you want to blank out all outside noise make sure they are closed.
Be careful with young children and pets when getting in and out of the car, as there is no fence or gate seperating the parking area from the road.
When pulling out its best to go with the flow of the trafic and turn higher up the road.
