8/10 Good

Loved the cottage and we had a great stay here at the end of September 24.

Loved the cottage and we had a great stay here at the end of September 24. The rooms are large and comfortable, we particularly liked the large kitchen and dining room. Our dog loved the large dog bed in the kitchen. The beds were good and having two bathrooms was great with 5 adults. The only negatives were the lighting in the lounge which is too dark, I like to craft and sew but couldn't because of the lighting and we couldn't play games in the lounge for the same reason. We noticed you had an advert in the window for a cleaner and whilst most of the cottage was very clean, the lounge needs a bit of attention there were rather a lot of cobwebs on the walls and the floor was very dusty, especially around the edges of the room. Also it would help if there was a vacuum cleaner in the cottage so that guests could clean during their stay. The location is great, the village is beautiful and in s stunning area, we loved the small pub at the top of the hill. Whilst the cottage does not have a garden walking the dog was easy and there is a large green outside the property for night time pee's. Hexham is a short drive away and great to visit and Beamish Museum is approx 75 mins away.I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for both families and adult groups.
