Las Mañanitas
San Jose del Cabo, Hotel Zone.
Condominium 4404
Towering in the fourth floor of a wonderful residential complex, seemingly oblivious to the rest of the world, is a home the likes of which can only be expressed once seen.
The vast residential is themed in the Old Mexican Hacienda style, with large arches and pyramid-like façade, with ribbons atop. Luscious gardens collide with neatly trimmed mini golf putting and crystalline pools with rich blue tiles that reminisce of ponds and lakes, all in front of the wonderful ocean and underneath the marvelous Los Cabos' skies. Inside this land of wonder, the unit holds its ground in beauty and design.
Upon entrance, marble floors in desert sand color crash against the pristine, white walls. Light, natural color wood cabinets surround the kitchen, gently interrupted by metallic appliances, and carefully guarded by four iron bar stools with intricate designs and beige suede seats. The granite countertop in grey tones seems to be nothing short of a solid rock slab held down in place by its sheer weight. Polished into a mirror-like surface, light bounces off it, creating a sense of wonderment and luxury. Fully equipped, this kitchen faces the dinner and terrace.
The Dinner is quite simple, and only adds to the common sense of this land, forgetting the inside and looking towards the sky and ocean. The wooden table and chairs, dressed in dark tones of natural wood, and polished into a satin finish sit calmly in the middle of the room, with only a mini bar next to it.
Once inside the master bedroom, the ambiance changes. The sweet seduction of the Los Cabos dream comes true while facing the Magnificent King Size bed, with its massive wooden headrest carefully carved. The patterns of the wood seem to make the wooden piece larger, and create the effect of light irradiating from the center. The nightstands next to the bed hold lamps of different size and forms, creating and defining the different sides of light and dark, of femme and male. A white lounge chair in comfortable cushions sits by the sliding window door, ready for hours of reading by the sun, or wine by the moon. Front of the bed, a wonderful entertainment center in marvelous shapes of carved, dark wood hides in a dent of the wall, and a Vanity drawer set with a large mirror, also in carved woods, sits patiently by the window. The pillars in the vanity, which seem to be holding the mirror in place, twirl and twist in wonderful, beautiful ways.
The master bathroom is consists of a double sink in marble countertops of light colors above wooden cabinets. The shower, covered in marble tiles all the way to the top, seems to be a grotto that provides a steady flow of rain.
In the guest bedroom, two double beds sit side-by-side, dressed with colorful blankets that reminisce of peacocks as they spread their tails for the world to admire. A night stand separates the two beds, and a small table lamp sheds light in the room. A TV sits by a single couch dressed in white, while a massive closet covers the entire wall.
The guest bathroom holds a double sink in clear marble countertop that supports a massive mirror. The marble tiles in sand color cover most of the room, waist high, and are finished by carved marble tiles that seem to be a rope of stone encasing it all. The shower continues the flow of tiles, from the inside, all the way to the ceiling, and like in the master bath, reminds of a grotto, a hole in the stone, where the rain flows freely to the ground.
Another bathroom, in the hallway, consists of a sink in marble, and wooden cabinets in dark tones that hide away the washing Centre, and a W.C.
The second master bedroom is a marvelous place. A King Size bed is crowned with a headrest topped with a curtain rod and drapes, while two nightstands, one on each side, hold lamps to enlighten the room. Iron works serve as decorations in this unique room. Facing the bed, a massive entertainment Centre in natural light colored wood seems to have been carved out of a single, massive tree, and the many shapes in it seem to mesmerize the eye. Two chairs and a small table sit next to the window, ready for romanticism to make its entrance. The second bathroom is not far behind. Double sinks in marble and a one-piece-mirror that covers both seems to be the rule in this home, and a wonderful closet embedded into the wall is hidden away by wooden doors. Inside the cave that is the washing room, a pearl seems to rest in the rocky pit, the white tub shines against the marble tiles in brown tones. Once again, the shower seems to have been sculpted out of stone, creating a small cave where water enters from the top.
Last, while still inside, is the living room. The white suede of the three-piece living room gives the sense of family and warmth that holds people together, and the coffee table in the middle seems to shine in its dark woods against the marble floor and the color of the fabric around it. In front, a massive, wooden fitment with intricate patterns decorating the shinning wood. On top, a flat screen TV and all other amenities can be found. With large vases and spheres decorating the corners, nothing can match the view.
The terrace, which can be accessed from the living room, master, and second master through the sliding glass doors, is unparalleled. From the master bedroom, two lounge chairs wait for times relaxing in the sun. From the living room, two chairs and a small table face the ocean, and seem to have been bred for romantic nights in candle light looking at the moonlit seas. From the second master, an outer diner set for six people is ready for family days or nights with friends, to bask in the sun or gaze into the horizon. And the view from this place is truly unbelievable. Beneath, green and blue merge and intertwine in a radiant explosion of colors, and beyond, the deep, steel-blue Sea of Cortez stretches far beyond what the eye can see. Above, the blue skies seem to ripen by dusk, creating a vast palette of colors that range from the light green to the deep red and bright pink, coursing through all the colors of the rainbow in between. At night, the moon rises and reflects off the now dark seas, a giant pearl against black velvet. At dawn, colors of gold and red surge from the sleeping sun and awake all life in the desert with a painting that Da Vinci himself would envy.
Welcome, to Las Mañanitas. We hope you enjoy the life Los Cabos has to offer, and that you find, in here, your new home.
