Welcome to La Barceloneta, Barcelona’s seaside neighborhood.

Your studio apartment is waiting for you here, everything you need in a unique, stylishly refurbished, welcoming and light-filled space.

On your right when you walk in is a bathroom with a shower, and a lovely open-plan kitchen with a dining table and everything you need to knock up a meal if you don’t fancy going out. On the other side lies the sleeping area, complete with a comfortable double bed, and a small balcony from which you can lean over and take in the narrow little streets of La Barceloneta. The apartment is on the fourth floor in a building without an elevator!

Once you’ve settled in, all you have to do is decide whether to head downtown or go to the beach.

If the beach is the plan, then picture yourself swimming, doing a paddleboard or SUP yoga course, running on the shores of the Mediterranean, or just sampling the varied cuisine of a neighbourhood known for its rice and fish dishes and its lively bars.

If you’d prefer to explore Barcelona, then it’s a short, ten-minute walk to the city centre and its most iconic districts, buildings and monuments, among them the Gothic Quarter, Raval, Plaza Catalunya, and Paseo de Gracia.

The apartment is well connected to the airport and well served by local transport. The Hospital del Mar is just 500 metres away, and La Barceloneta Market is also close by. A typical neighbourhood market, it opened in 1884. Shop here and you’ll be one of the locals. It’s well worth a visit.

Barcelona by the Sea with One Issue

Easily met Martia at apartment. Apartment is recently remodeled and just as shown. Quite modern. Great for solo or couple . Had been to BCN before and wanted to explore the Barceloneta beach neighborhood. Lots of small restaurants and cafes. Close to marina. Had good fortune to be there during Americas Cup competition, so harbor, etc, busy with lots of action. Only negative and a big one. The apartment is on 4th floor, and No Elevator. I have disability and needed help to get baggage up and down. As well difficulty getting up and down to go out. This was not prominently disclosed, as it should have been. If not an issue, then highly recommend.
