Sleeping upto 4 guests, ‘Volunteer Lodge’ is well positioned in a residential neighbourhood of Leiston and within walking distance of the shops, eateries, public houses and restaurants

There are beautiful beaches to explore at nearby Sizewell and Dunwich. The town also lies within close proximity to Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. This rural town is also a haven for walkers and cyclists as it is located near the coast and the RSPB’s Minsmere nature reserve, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB)

An ideal base for couples or families looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of the enchanting Suffolk coast or for a corporate guest looking for long or short term business stays as it is situated near Sizewell B Power Station and the A12.

Fairly good overall.

All the furniture was comfortable and clean. Good showers but the toilet seat in the bathroom was only fixed on one side so it slid around. There has obviously been a leak in the kitchen, probably from the washing machine or dishwasher (which wasn’t working when we were there) because the laminate flooring has buckled and lifted in places in the kitchen area. The kitchen was well equipped. It would have been helpful if there had been instruction manuals for the tv, heating etc and some information leaflets about local attractions, restaurants and so on.
