Entire home in Battersby

Lovely lady who owns the property met us upon arrival and showed us round. We have used many home let’s in the past and I think I’m used to homes which are pretty much used for renting only rather than ‘lived in’ and rented out ‘.as and when’. It’s not that I want to rate it poor as it all depends upon taste. I like good quality bedding and pillows, the cat woke us up at 5/7am on both days so very disturbed, the carpets and rugs very ‘old’. Like I said a nice lady, it’s her home but I have different expectations when paying to rent accommodation.

Thank you for your feedback, and I appreciate your kind words regarding my hospitality. I do my utmost to ensure that all guests have a comfortable stay and feel welcomed. However, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points. The listing description clearly states that this is a lived-in home and not solely a rental property, which is part of its unique charm. It also highlights the presence of a friendly cat, ensuring that potential guests can make an informed decision before booking. To further ensure clarity, I always confirm this detail with each guest prior to their stay. I kindly remind guests that mutual respect for the property is essential. Unfortunately, the staircase rail was left damaged after your stay and required immediate repair. As a gesture of goodwill, I chose not to charge for the repair and addressed it promptly to ensure the home remains welcoming for future guests. While I understand that expectations can vary, I strive to balance authenticity and comfort for all my visitors. Thank you again for your comments, and I will use them to continue improving the experience for future guests.
