About this property
Cosy house near forest and coast
This charming two-storey summer house offers a delightful fusion of comfort and natural beauty, making it an ideal getaway for those seeking both relaxation and adventure. Step into the bright and airy sunroom — a peaceful haven where you can unwind with an enjoyable book or enjoy a warm cup of coffee, especially on rainy days. A unique highlight is the original hand water pump, installed between 1880 and 1910 and in use until around 1930–1940. Though no longer operational, it stands as a fascinating historical feature that adds authentic character to the space.
When the sun is out, step onto the newly built terrace where you can bask in the morning and evening light, overlooking the edge of the forest. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some of the forest’s shy inhabitants. In the early morning hours, “Bambi” — a graceful fallow deer — and friends often make a quiet and majestic appearance, offering a magical start to the day.
The open-plan kitchen is modern and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to prepare simple and delicious holiday meals. Whether you prefer cooking indoors or outdoors, both options are equally inviting. A large barbecue and comfortable garden furniture make this the perfect setting for cosy al fresco dinners under the open sky.
The house features a spacious bathroom and an additional toilet, providing excellent convenience for larger groups or families. But perhaps the most special element is the location itself: nestled on the edge of a serene little forest teeming with wildlife and connected to a network of trails that lead directly to the dramatic rocky coastline and the natural rock beach known as Hammersleth – just 750 metres from your door. It's an idyllic spot for scenic walks and peaceful moments by the sea.
The vibrant town centre of Svaneke lies just one kilometre away, offering an array of charming shops, tempting restaurants, and unique experiences for all ages. Discover the fascinating glassblowing workshop, sample locally brewed craft beer, or savour freshly made ice cream beneath the flowering almond tree in the courtyard of Mermaid Café.
The quaint fishing village of Listed is only 1.5 km away and features a small, picturesque harbour along with a local bakery where you can purchase fresh bread and cakes straight from a window onto the street — a delightfully simple pleasure.
This summer house is the perfect base for a relaxing and adventure-filled holiday, where nature, history, and local charm come together to create lasting memories.
