Known throughout the world as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.
It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.
Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.
The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists from all over the world every day.
The most famous local event is definitely the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.
Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns where to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.
The accommodation is 1,4 km from the Venice Santa Lucia train station.

Apartment didn’t have any heat or hot water. This is in a winter time. Nobody responded to the problem until next day when we already checked out. We all slept fully dressed
This spot was fantastic, but keep in mind the fish market is below so wake ups are early. The space is a little more dated than the pictures, but it makes up for in the convivence to everything. We had a great trip to Venice.
Our family of 4 had a great time. The location was very convenient to the sites and restaurants. Not too touristy, so you felt like you got to experience a more natural Venice! We would recommend.
We loved this place! So bright! It had everything we needed. The neighborhood was lovely. Close to everything and lots of amenities close by. Loved having the market right there for quick breakfast or snacks!
The appartment was perfect for us (family with 5 persons) and the location is great for a visit of Venice. 10 min walk from Rialto and close to the fish market. The communication with Faville was perfect and the infications for checkin very clear.
This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed. I would not let my child play on the floor or the couch. Absolutely disgusting. Blood stained bedding. the pillows should be burned. Just the worst. To top it off, one bedroom had an AC unit leaking water all over the floor, constantly switching out towels. The second bedroom had a AC unit leaking coolent which caused the whole unit to smell like rubbing alcohol, although it took us a couple of days to realize the reason for the smell. This could have killed our son who was sleeping in the bedroom. The second night we all slept in one room with the door closed and AC unit off, as the property manager was unreachable. When we finally got through to the property management, they didn't care at all. Absolutely horrendous. VRBO should not allow Wonderful Italy to have properties. I expect better from a VRBO.
Ca Beccarie was very accommodating and comfortable for our family of 3.
Location easy to find and in a quaint campo.
The fish market rented evening dinner parties and a wedding reception during our time there, which had loud music plying toward midnight. This disturbed our child a bit, who goes to bed earlier. I share this as a tip for other families with small children.
One of the air conditioning units lost compression and did not cool. It was 35 degrees by day in Venice during our stay, so this made for difficult sleeping.
All in all very nice stay and we will return again! Thank you!

Hello Mike,
thanks for your review! Air conditionin is now ok
Hope to welcome you again in Venice
We loved our stay at this wonderful property in Rialto, Venice. The location was extremely convenient, close to all of the shopping and dining and only a 10-15 walk to San Marco.
The apartment has a modern and clean vibe to it and even included air conditioning units in both bedrooms as well as the kitchen living area which is a must during summer months in Venice.
One thing that may be important to some is the fact that the apartment is on a third floor. We had some heavy luggage and ended up having to bring it up together as it was too heavy to do alone up so many stairs.
Additionally, one huge perk of this apartment is its proximity to the Rialto fish market. This market has been active and run the same way for hundreds of years and brings in fresh fish Tuesday - Saturday. Even if you're not planning on cooking it is a great experience to go by and check out.

Lies Lies Lies
I booked this apartment specifically because it said it had air conditioning, the first day I was there. I informed the property managers that the air conditioning was not working. They responded with that the air-conditioning was not allowed to be turned on due to Italian law.. I found out from a local that that was a lie, then I called you and unfortunately, you did nothing to help. I then contacted the property manager again telling them that what they told me was a lie and basically said too bad. I then called you again to get you involved and all you did was connect me on the telephone via a representative of the property owner. Once again they did nothing and then asked if I’d send a video of the AC not working. I want a partial refund from my stay.
HORRIBLE! This was the worst rental experience we’ve ever had. Listing notes it has air conditioning, but it is broken. I reached out within minutes of arrival and they were essentially non-responsive. Finally they said they would have maintenance come look at it. The next day they said a part had to be ordered. I don’t believe anyone ever came to look at it and it has been broken for a long time. I saw a review from another guest who was there 3-4 weeks before we arrived that stated the exact same complaint. I noticed that review BEFORE we arrived so I reached out to confirm the A/C was working and they said it was. They lied and grossly misrepresented the property. It was hot in Venice so we had to sleep with all windows open, and they don’t provide fans. The rooms were filled with bugs and we were eaten alive throughout the stay. The house is right on a main square so with the windows open it is not possible to sleep. The street noise goes all night long and then they set up a fish market starting around 5:00am. The smell from that is intolerable with the windows open. In addition to the A/C prob, bugs, and noise, the unit is completely run down, dated, and dirty. It does not look like the pictures. It appears many others have struggled with bugs because there are blood smears all over the walls. The couch and pillows were so disgusting I wouldn’t let my kids touch anything.
Thanks for your feedback.
I am sorry but the apartment is in the centre of the city so it is common find some noise.
I hope you appreciated the apartment and to host you in the future in one of our apartment.
