About this property
Morwylfa, Borth and Ynyslas
Morwylfa is a truly fabulous coastal retreat, backing directly onto the vast, golden sands of Borth Beach in Ceredigion. Perfectly positioned with a west-facing aspect, the house is bathed in afternoon sunshine and offers breath taking sunsets over Cardigan Bay. From the balcony, you can relax to the sound of the waves and, if you’re lucky, even spot dolphins playing in the sea.
The house is exceptionally spacious, offering three distinct seating areas to suit every mood, including a cosy snug complete with a charming log burner. Stunning sea views can be enjoyed from inside the house, from the beachside patio just steps from the sand, and from the first-floor balcony — the perfect place to unwind, take in the sweeping coastal scenery, and simply relax.
Borth is a lovely coastal village which lies on Ceredigion Coast Path, and the beach stretches for 3 miles. A perfect place for a family holiday or perfect for walkers who can enjoy miles of stunning coastal scenery, spectacular wildlife, sandy beaches and coves.
Borth village has a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as the Oriel Adrift art gallery, and some lovely gift shops.
Families can enjoy days on the beach or exploring the sand dunes at nearby Ynys Las. Borth and Ynyslas Golf Club is nearby, as well as the Borth Animalarium and Lifeboat Station which you can visit. The Dyfi Wildlife Centre, home of the Dyfi Osprey Project at the Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve is just 20 minutes’ drive away.
Morwylfa is just five minutes’ walk from Borth train station and perfectly positioned for exploring this beautiful part of Wales close to the southern border of Snowdonia National Park. The university town of Aberystwyth is a short drive away with a Victorian promenade, shops, cafés and restaurants. Inland, the Cambrian Mountains offer breathtaking, unspoiled landscapes dotted with historic sites, serene lakes, and cascading waterfalls. This remarkable area is also a designated Dark Sky destination, renowned for its exceptionally clear, star-filled night skies.
