About this property

No.1 St Eia- Woodburner & Wi-Fi

Original exposed stone walls and deep window reveals retain the property's character and are now complimented with contemporary furnishings and tasteful décor, as well as modern features like Smart TVs and revamped bathrooms for a completely comfortable stay.

The property's three lovely bedrooms include two king size beds on the second floor and a twin on the top floor, while its two living rooms (a cosy ground floor snug with wood-burner, and spacious lounge with plush seating on the first) offer ample room for relaxation. On the ground floor, the gorgeous kitchen is well kitted-out for home cooking, and the dining area within the space is where guests can spend time sharing meals, playing board games or chatting about the day's plans.

The Downalong, with its maze of narrow cobblestone streets, granite cottages, and whitewashed stone buildings, serves as the historic fisherman's quarter of the town, and this lovely cottage's setting just 150 metres from Porthmeor Beach, the harbour and Porthgwidden, means you can be on the sand within a couple of minutes after stepping out the front door.

St Ives, a truly enchanting location on the Cornish coast, is dotted with art galleries and craft studios that feature a variety of works, from hand-blown glass to ceramics and paintings. Numerous excellent restaurants offer freshly prepared local produce, making it a delight for food enthusiasts. On days when the beach isn't an option, you can explore the charming lanes with names like Salubrious Place and Teetotal Street and find beautifully crafted souvenirs. The area's five stunning beaches including Porthminster and Carbis Bay, boast golden sands, clear waters, and wonderful views of St Ives Bay, making it an ideal destination for families or friends seeking the perfect beach holiday.

Super cosy and comfortable house for family and a dog.

We chose this house becuase it is dog friendly and had a great space for watching family films on a rainy day. It was a great choice, recently renovated and all in great condition. Great location 2 mins walk from Porthgwidden, Porthmeor and harbour. Also has bath and shower which many houses in St Ives don't and great wifi. We have staying in the area many times and this house is one of the best. Highly recommend.

Feb Half Term Trip

A really good sized property in a very good location. Everyone very happy with their bedrooms and to have 2 lounges was a real bonus! Kitchen was good although missed a few basics (microwave and more wine glasses!) but nothing that impacted the holiday! The bathrooms are both excellent too! Have stayed in many properties in St Ives… this is our new favourite!

Great location

This a nicely refurbished property in an excellent location in St Ives. The kitchen/diner is quite small when you consider it is for 6 people. It states it is a dog friendly cottage but once we arrived there is a sign on the stairs to the first floor stating dogs can’t go any further so they are basically restricted to the ground floor. We were not aware of this restriction and I checked the details and there was no mention of it. That is not dog friendly so we wouldn’t use this cottage again!

Perfect in every way

We recently spent three nights in St Ives, staying at this lovely property (late October). I honestly couldn't fault it in any way. The location was superb! It's just minutes from two beaches - Porthgwidden and Porthmeor, which was perfect for us, as we had our two dogs with us, so enjoyed morning walks and a coffee on the beaches. It's also just a few minutes walk from the harbour and its restaurants. The cottage was very well equipped and furnished to a really high standard. The welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits was a lovely touch and having a log burner in the lounge on the ground floor, was so cosy on a day that we had bad weather. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the bed was super comfy. I'd highly recommend!

Holiday with adult family, grandchild and 2 dogs.

Fabulous large house right in centre of St Ives. There was room for us all to spread out, although as the dogs weren't allowed in the upstairs lounge this wasn't utilised quite as much as we would have liked. We could all nip in and out with several beaches only a few minutes walk away and shops/bars/restaurants just around the corner - it suited our needs perfectly. While the cottage is traditional it has been modernised, having modern kitchen equipment, smart TV's and very comfortable sofas and beds. The 2 bathrooms were really lovely with fantastic showers, light up mirrors and a bath in the larger bathroom. The only downside for us would be some of the low ceilings and narrow stairs (we are all tall people) which caused a few head bangs but this is just the nature and age of the building. Also loved the outside tap and shower for getting the sand off the dogs and any wetsuits etc. We would definitely stay again.
