I have tips- private corner in a historic neighborhood
I have tips. This apartment is in the historic Inca district of Cusco. This means that the area has elements of Inca and Spanish Architecture- very cool! I really enjoyed the 1st impression once I entered the space. tiled floor, fireplace, unique floor design- So much so that I took photos to share with my family. You are in the Mountains- very high! You will feel the Altitude in Cusco. The road- Calle Resbalosa, means slippery street in Spanish. I imagine it was VERY slippery before they put in stairs. There are appro 90 stairs you will take to get to your apt if you travel up from Plaza Mayor de Armas. It gets cold at night and you will want a room heater, which my host provided at my request. My host Ruth was VERY quick to respond and a delight to work with. All I had to do was ask and she would quickly help. I would say that max capacity is 5- 2 Q beds for couples, and a single bed for a solo, but one room contains a Q and the single bed while the other contains only a single bed. There is a restaurant directly overhead which I did not notice for 3 days. This restaurant probably has the best view of Cusco- seriously. It is better than the church Mirador de San Cristobal which is right there. The food is good, drinks are good too. Just bring a jacket! Trust me. I was not too taken by the fireplace which I did use several times. It was difficult to start and keep going, and that there was not enough draft to keep the smoke out of the apt. Overall very satisfied!
