We loved our stay in this well-appointed and recently renovated home. Our family wanted to move in! A short walk to the water and easy access to town. Great place!
This house was perfect for a mom weekend away. The house was clean and had ll the amenities we needed. The location was great! Were were able to walk to restaurants and shops in La Jolla and felt safe walking home in the evening.
Our favorite property in La Jolla. We had a great time and found everything with the exception of the beach within walking distance. Beach can be walked to but we preferred a quick 5 minute drive.
House is clean, charming and well maintained.
This beautifully remodeled home was ideally located for anything our family could want to do in La Jolla and vicinity. The fact that there is no air conditioning did not affect our stay as the weather was cool enough, however with windows open all of the time, we did have to put up with lots of traffic noise and unbelievable construction noise starting very early every morning.
Great Place to Take Advantage of La Jolla Villages
La Jolla Vacation Rentals managed the property and check in process for this rental. Great rental agency that provides exceptional communication before and during the stay.
House had all the amenities listed and was very comfortable for our family of 4. The house could easily accommodate larger parties.
The house was in a quiet neighborhood but was still very close to all the activities, restaurants and shops of La Jolla. Perfect location for anyone wanting to stay out of the city of San Diego but still have easy access from Coronado to Del Mar.
The house is an easy walk to Downtown La Jolla Village. Space was clean and comfortable. My only complaints would be the back doors which don’t have typical locks so you’re not sure if they’re locked without testing them from the outside. And the owner’s friend/ gardener who walked into the backyard during our stay - while he was friendly enough it was awkward and uncomfortable thinking anyone can just walk in and see you through the back windows/ doors.
This is a cute older cape cod that has been very nicely renovated. All of the bathrooms and the kitchen are granite or marble and tile and are lovely. There are wood floors throughout, and a very pretty fenced in back yard with native plants throughout. It’s walkable distance to downtown La Jolla. The only downside is that unlike the bedrooms, which are nice, the living room furnishings look like a college apartment. Great big couch, cheap end table and coffee table, shag rug. A different rug and adding an arm chair or two with a couple of lamps would make a world of difference. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again

A Little Below Expectations
We were in La Jolla for a wedding which was beautiful. The location of the house was great and was a 10 min walk to downtown. However, the pictures on the listing are out of date and show the house as more elegant than what it is. The large couch in the living room picture has been replaced with a large college couch. The outdoor chair cushions were very dirty and the floors were dirty, based upon the black on our feet. The space for sleeping arrangements were accurate, but no dressers in upstairs bedroom. Overall out of 1-10, I give the place a 7.
The place was clean and spacious for my family of five. We were able to walk anywhere in La Jolla and it was a quick drive to San Diego destinations (zoo, etc). We had one issue of the washer and dryer not being where the listing said it would be. A quick email clarified that it had been moved outside. (Who would have guessed?). Commutation was quick and easy and they were responsive to my question. My only critique is that there was only one packet of dishwasher soap. One load is not enough for a family for a week. A couple of packets would be useful so we didn’t have to buy a large thing from the store.
The house itself was clean and the beds were very comfortable, which made it clear some care was taken to prepare the property.Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. The listing was misleading — the photos didn’t match the property and looked digitally enhanced or cleaned up, almost as if AI had been used to make the home appear far nicer than it really is. The washer and dryer were outside (not inside as stated), and the dryer was left full of towels I had to fold. The property had AC, but we were not allowed to use it, which made for an uncomfortable stay during a hot weekend. The house rules were so excessive we didn’t feel comfortable even talking inside for fear of eviction. When I had to call 911 for my daughter, I was genuinely worried the ambulance noise would get us thrown out. On top of that, the neighbor’s Ring camera was pointed directly into the room where my children were sleeping, which raised serious privacy concerns. Even the bathroom toiletries were misleading — body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were all the same product. In fairness, the house was clean and the beds were comfortable — but those positives simply couldn’t outweigh the stress, misrepresentation, and lack of privacy. I would not recommend this property unless major improvements are made.

A great stay with just a couple of hiccups..
We just loved the home - it was a great place for us and our family from New Zealand. The location was great - close to everything we wanted to do. Comfy beds and plenty of room for everyone. Parking was a little tight as we had two cars and we didn't want to park on the street. The driveway is on a steep slope so make sure you have a strong e-brake if you park on the drive.
The first morning we were awoken by the sound of landscapers working in the front yard at 7am. I wish we had been notified of the workers as we a little unsettled by the sound of men just outside our window so early in the morning. I notified the management and they told us they would let the owners know not to have the workers come before 9am. I would have preferred to have been notified of the workers prior to our stay.
The other thing we noticed was the wifi downstairs was really weak - i think its because the router is upstairs. You may want to get a wifi booster for downstairs to increase the signal.
We really loved the house and would stay again. Management checked in with us by email and followed up with my issues quickly. Thanks for everything.

Thank you so much for your comments - we have added the WIFI booster based on your comments and asked the owner to let us know when they decide to do work so we can notify our guests properly.
Beautiful home, perfect for summer rentals. The house was immaculate when we got there and the drought resistant/native plant gardens was gorgeous with butterflies and humming birds. Enjoyed it very much.
The house was very clean & exactly as advertised. We felt very much at home in this lovely property. The large private terraced back yard with plenty of flowering plants was an added bonus! The location was perfect as well! We look forward to a return visit.
Pros-nicely decorated beachy feel house! Enough room and amenities for the entire family! Beach chairs were super handy!
Cons- master bedroom mattress sinks in the middle, no AC and though you can walk to beach, too far to haul all your belongings for the day.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and it continues to impress. Wonderful layout to accommodate 6+ guests. Walking distance to everything you need in La Jolla. Quite neighborhood. Will be back again, I'm sure!
Interior was adorable, new bathrooms, kitchen and furniture, in a nice neighborhood. Some traffic noise from cars going up a hill next to the property. The yard and patio weren't as impeccable as the interior. Could have used a few more kitchen staples (salt and pepper for example), but overall cute cute house with big airy bedrooms and quick walk to town.
Property was exactly as listed. Well appointed and extremely comfortable. Spacious and open downstairs floor plan. Walked every day to La Jolla Cove and along the beach. Also walking distance from many great restaurants and a grocery store. We will be back, for sure!
Great property...great location. Lighting in bedrooms and front door needs some attention.
We would definitely return to this property. Private and quiet and close to the Village and the Cove!
Ps master bath glass is see through from outdoors! Not so private at night when lights are one!
