Take a brush, watercolours and a canvas to paint the roofs of Riomaggiore lost in the Ligurian sea,.
This is the view you will have from the Affresco sul mare.
This very pretty apartment has a comfortable terrace where, however, you cannot see the sea which is instead visible from the bedroom and from the living room with sofa bed.
To access the house, you will have to climb three flights of stairs that will take you to the entrance of the apartment.

This property is ok for the value but a few things made it feel like it did not match the photos. It’s a very beautiful old building of course given the location in Riomaggiore and there is charm in that however it should have been mentioned that the access could be difficult for some people, I would not have been able to get my luggage to the top story if I was not really strong, it’s got some charm, beautiful views, very very small bathroom. Host was accessible and available for questions.
Truly enjoyed our stay and time in the Cinque Terra region. Highly recommend

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
The location of the apartment was excellent, but there were several aspects of the stay that were more challenging than expected. The apartment was fairly sparsely furnished, with not much seating or space to relax besides the sofa bed. The terrace also appeared neglected, with many dead plants rather than the inviting outdoor space shown in the listing. The apartment itself felt somewhat cluttered, as cleaning supplies such as the broom and other items were stored openly in the dining area due to a lack of storage space. We also were never able to get the WiFi working despite multiple attempts to reset the router and re-enter the password.Check-in communication added unnecessary stress to our arrival. I did not receive the check-in instructions until I reached out the day of arrival, and then had to complete passport information before access details were shared. I would also strongly recommend future guests proactively ask for the city elevator pass, as this was not communicated to us either. Otherwise, be prepared for a large number of steep stairs.Overall, the location was the strongest aspect of the stay.

Pretty views / Take the elevator or get a porter
The apartment listing said it had air conditioning. We could not figure how to use it. Luckily the weather was good and having the windows open at night was good enough. There was no communication provided by the manager regarding the hot water heater which didn’t work one day, the WiFi password and the air conditioner. Also they did not provide a QR code for using the town’s elevators so we had to pay. No on recommended that you use elevators from train station, which would have made our trip so much easier. The staircase to the apartment was very dirty with many spider webs. Someone did clean them after a few days. It was extremely steep also. The views were pretty from the apartment and the location was good.
