The house was finished beautifully throughout and so much effort has went in to making sure the house has everything you need including games, books, films etc. The property sits in stunning surroundings and we had the most amazing time celebrating New Year as a family. Already thinking of booking up for next year.

We had an amazing stay at Low Yeat Shepherd Farm and would happily return. The highlight for everyone was the sunroom attached to the kitchen, with its large table overlooking the pastures. We spent countless hours there sharing meals, talking, and simply watching the sheep wander about and enjoy their daily antics. It quickly became the heart of the house for our group. The location was excellent—close enough to Ambleside and Windermere that it was easy to explore many of the Lake District’s highlights, while still feeling wonderfully peaceful and rural. There are also beautiful walks that begin right from the doorstep. One of the most memorable moments of our trip happened when several sheep escaped their pasture. Several of us joined in the effort to herd them back, eventually succeeding after much laughter and excitement. We later learned that the sheep apparently have a habit of escaping, which somehow made the whole experience even more charming and memorable. For our group of 12, the house was absolutely perfect. It provided plenty of space, a beautiful setting, and memories we’ll be talking about for years to come.
