Old Town (Centro Histórico): The heart of Ericeira, the Old Town, boasts narrow cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed houses adorned with colourful tiles (azulejos). You'll find quaint cafes, local restaurants serving fresh seafood, and boutique shops selling handmade crafts and souvenirs. The main square, Largo de São Sebastião, often hosts cultural events and markets.

Waterfront Promenade: Stretching along the coastline, the waterfront promenade offers breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Locals and tourists alike enjoy leisurely strolls here, taking in the fresh sea breeze and admiring the rugged cliffs and pristine beaches.

Praia do Norte: This beach neighbourhood is known for its excellent surfing conditions, attracting surfers from around the world. With consistent waves and a relaxed atmosphere, Praia do Norte is a hub for water sports enthusiasts. You'll also find beachfront cafes and bars where you can unwind after a day of surfing.

Praia dos Pescadores: Translating to Fisherman's Beach, this area is characterized by its picturesque fishing boats scattered along the shoreline. It's a popular spot for families and sunbathers seeking calm waters for swimming and relaxation. Nearby seafood restaurants serve up freshly caught fish and other local delicacies.

São Sebastião: This residential neighbourhood offers a quieter pace of life compared to the bustling town centre. Here, you'll find traditional Portuguese homes nestled amidst lush greenery. It's a great area for those seeking a more tranquil environment while still being within walking distance of the town's amenities.

Cultural Sites: Ericeira is home to several cultural landmarks, including the Church of São Pedro, which dates back to the 12th century, and the Nossa Senhora da Nazaré Chapel, perched atop a cliff overlooking the ocean. These sites add to the village's historical charm and offer glimpses into its rich heritage.

Surfing Culture: As one of Europe's top surfing destinations, Ericeira exudes a laid-back surf culture that permeates throughout the village. Surf schools and shops line the streets, catering to beginners and experienced surfers alike. During the summer months, the village comes alive with surf competitions and festivals celebrating the sport.

Overall, Ericeira's neighbourhoods offer a delightful mix of coastal beauty, cultural heritage, and outdoor adventure, making it a captivating destination for visitors and a beloved home for locals.
