Getting Around:
Guests will need to make sure they have their own vehicle. Summer months are fine with a small car but four-wheel drive is a must in the winter!
Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was the perfect size and comfort for our family that traveled from Oklahoma to Yellowstone. We mostly just slept there but that was good for us! And we never ran out of hot water!
This was our third trip in 4 years to Yellowstone and this property was the best by far. "Huckleberry" our resident Moose made it even better every morning outside our bedroom window
We had a great time with our family, the cabin was the perfect place for all of us. It was just like the picture and they have everything you need. Only 30 minutes to the west Yellow stone entrance.
Very nice cabin! Quiet and comfortable. My only suggestion is to add to the check-in instructions to look for the lockbox on the left side of the doorframe of the door that leads into the garage. We nearly missed it. Also, add the house number at the road.
The property was straight forward, it looked just like the pictures and had everything we needed. It’s 30 miles from West Yellowstone but that was not an issue for us. Overall the family loved it and my wife and I loved the huge porch for morning coffee. I would stay again.

We're very glad that your family enjoyed the property and our area. Thank you for leaving us a review and we hope you get the chance to stay again. -IP Reservations
Great location for West yellowstone. Cabin beautiful and met all of our needs. We were little disappointed that it wasnt as secluded as we thought and there is a bright light on a garage behind the deck. We were hoping to be able to sit out and look at the stars but the light greatly takes away from that
House was very nice and well stocked. My only complaint is lack of dressers in the 2 spare bedrooms. There are big closets with selves but the selves are not easily accessible with the closet doors.
The house is an easy drive to Yellowstone and downtown West Yellowstone.
We had 6 adults and 4 kids. Very comfortable and roomie. Had some me issues with the TV. Suggest instructions on how to operate it easily. Very nice. Beautiful views. Only half hour from Yellowstone west entrance.

Reviewer Comments:
Yes, it was wonderful! The only problem we had that was frustrating was turning in the key. We could not get a hold of any one and the office was locked. The phone tree did not work and we did not get are questions answered. However it was a great trip.

We're sorry you had problems getting a hold of us. I'm not quite sure why you weren't able to, as we were in the office all throughout your stay and answering every call that came through, except for on that Sunday when you checked out, but we did give you the property manager's cell phone number in case you weren't able to get a hold of us at the office, so I'm not sure what exactly happened with that. We're glad that for the most part you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the review. We hope to see you again.
House was everything we were hoping for - easy drive to Yellowstone and other outdoor activities. Was in a private setting - we saw a fox, sand hill cranes, and three moose around the house! Loved sitting on the porch with morning coffee. House was spacious and comfortable!

Remote, spacious and pricey
What a nice house. Big open area for family and the bedrooms were very adequate. The kitchen was nice and usable for preparing meals.
However, we all felt that the price was excessive.
The porch was big, but bad seating and it wasn't clean.
It was remote in that it was at least a 1/2 hour from the gates of Yellowstone.
It was also hard to fine and once you got there they had these 5 speed bumps all within 25 yards which was annoying.

The property was as described. The driving directions indicated GPS does not always work and we should look for Boondock's Restaurant. There is no restaurant there any longer, so the driving directions need to be altered. Also, the dryer kept kicking off and it took forever to get the laundry dry. I noticed that the dryer was not vented to the outside (that I could see) and it could be that there is a lint clog, which causes it to shut off for safety reasons.
Apart from finding the keys to the place(which is a bit tricky, as there were no instructions emailed and finding the location of keys is difficult), everything else turned out to be great. Loved the view and the place!
We really enjoyed the spacious property and the deck is phenomenal. Only issue we had was the washing machine and the directions to the property were not helpful after dark.

Okay but not great.
Upon arrival we noticed popcorn on the floor, obviously not vacuumed before we got there. We were really looking forward to spending time in the chairs on the porch. They are a little dangerous, especially for kids. Screws and nails were sticking out and got both my daughter and I. Luckily we are up to date on our tetanus shot. They recommend opening the windows up at night to help cool things down. The deck area has 2 different doors to open and let air in. The screen was torn up on one side and the other side the screen was completely gone from the other side. If we opened them we would have let in all the bugs. The couches were very uncomfortable and need a good cleaning. The washer didn’t work properly and the dryer was not connected to a vent and also didn’t have a lint trap. The kitchen was more stocked with cooking tools than most places we’ve been, that’s a plus. The other concern we had was that as we checked out we were asked to strip the beds of sheets and pillowcases. Most places have you pull off all the bedding and all of it washed. If only the sheets and pillowcases are washed in between guests it’s disgusting. We are already starting to plan our next trip to Yellowstone but I don’t think I would stay here again unless these issues were addressed. I don’t know if the property owners just aren’t aware of the problems or if they simply don’t care. We left it cleaner than we got it.

Not a pleasant experience!!
. There is no space in the garage to park as it was occupied with snow mobiles/ATVs so we parked outside. The washer and dryer was full of dust , patio wasn’t clean and the bathrooms had weird smell for some reason. Not worth the money. We had work related emergency and we requested for 30mins extension as we needed wifi. But to our surprise we weren’t given Atleast 5 minutes of grace period to shift our luggage to the car. We were literally kicked out by the cleaning staff. Though the check in time is 4 PM we were asked to leave immediately for the next guests to arrive.
Very rude and unfriendly management .
The cabin was great. The pictures made it look smaller, so it was a great surprise to see all the room we had. The beds were comfortable and the porch was the most peaceful place.
The cabin/house was clean, quiet and large. Me and my family were there for 3 days and totally enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion is to add fans to the bedrooms since the home does not have air condition.
Cute Cabin but we had a few little issues that may not be big to some, but would have helped the place feel more comfortable and home like.
-The shower curtain liner smelt terrible.
-The toilet paper was like sandpaper.
-The winter and thanksgiving decor was weird in August. Just made it not feel home like/comfy.
-The bunk beds and twin bed were so uncomfortable and had ripped matress covered on them.
-To watch tv in the master bedroom you had to change the channel in the living room. The cable box is only in the living room. So both tvs had to be on the same channel and it took us forever to figure out. We called the property manager for help and she only suggested resetting it.
-There was a dvd play, but no dvds. Do people travel with dvds now a days?
-EVERY home we have rented over the years has had a welcome binder. That included instructions (like for the tv), local places to see and eat, a must go to spot, etc. This place does not. We love trying new restaraunts and seeing new things, especially when reccomended by a local. I would suggest this place put one together. (The pizza place by the river was amazing! The Mexican place across the river from there was absolutly terrible-service was great, all 7 meals we got were terrible in taste.).
We did LOVE the covered patio and fire pit! We brought our own tree hammocks and hung them on the post on the patio. That was the highlight for our kids. It was great to relax in the eveings with the gorgeous view and to sip coffee in the mornings. Def bring your own hammocks!
It was an okay, clean place. I feel like a few little efforts and upgrades would make this place more comfrotable and home like for guests.
House worked out great for us, is was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful setting. The drive to Yellowstone is about 40 minutes but that wasn't a big issue for us. House didn't have Wifi but that turned out to be a nice bonus to allow us to disconnect while there.
