Easy access to the Lake district
Lovely stay. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed, with some nice little finishing touches.
We were able to easily access local attractions due to location, 30-45 mins to the Lakes.

Fantastic lodge.
Mark is a great host and the lodge was fantastic. It’s right on the lake and the leisure centre is a 3 min walk away. We really enjoyed staying here as it was very peaceful and not overcrowded. The lodge itself has been refurbished to a high standard. My children really enjoyed feeding the ducks that would walk up to the lodge with the duck food Mark kindly provided . It’s a great resting point to explore Lake District , and there is enough to do including water sports , in case you decide to stay instead of leaving the resort.

Great facilities
Recently stayed in the lodge and can't fault it at all. Very clean and positioned very well on the lake. Our son enjoyed all of the ducks, geese and swans coming up to the lodge so he could feed them. Located well to for access to windermere which was about 30min drive away. The onsite facilities were good indoor swimming pool and arcades. We ate in the onsite restaurant one night and the food was good. Would highly recommend.

High standards!
We loved our stay. The level of amenities here were of a high quality and attention to detail was evident. I really appreciated the thought that was put into the set up. Duck food and sweets for the kids & other nice touches like binoculars. It was really clean and tidy when we arrived and plenty of bin liners and dishwasher tablets to use. All the facilities were of a high standard and the beds and sitting area really comfy. We loved our stay and would like to come again.

Surprise birthday
Booked this Lodge for my Husbands 40th as a surprise. Mark and Trish assisted with organising some birthday decorations which was really appreciated by all. The Lodge was beautiful felt like home from home with a well equipped kitchen to clean bedding. The lodge was well stocked and the fact that board games, toys for kids were also available were a nice touch. The kids loved it, especially being able to feed to ducks. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed our time and we will be definitely be returning.

Wow
Wow what a beautiful place! The view of the lake from the decking was fantastic. The decking area at the front was the star. It was gated so the kids could play safely and feed the ducks and swans. The sunsets were lovely with a glass of wine when the kids had gone to bed. The lodge was beautifully decorated, we have taken a few ideas for our own house and had everything you would need. The attention to detail was superb. From binoculars to bird watch, duck food for the kids, board games and toys for children, Alexa for music and Netflix provided it was brilliant for entertaining the kids. The resort had loads to do with swimming pool, tennis, crazy golf, children’s playground, water sports (book before you go as it’s open to the public too), soft play, evening entertainment, bar/restaurant with a gorgeous outdoor terrace. We stayed for a week and was easy to do day trips to morcambe and the lakes. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely stay Mark and Trish x

A perfect break
Just a short break away and so pleased we booked Sandmartin Lodge. We were told prior to arrival that we were the first guests to arrive since a renovation of the lodge. Wow! The lodge has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and literally everything is brand new and top quality - Kitchen, bathroom and all new beds/furniture, we couldn't think of a single thing missing. The view from the lodge takes in the whole lake from the floor to ceiling glazing and although too cold to sit out (nice and toasty inside) a lovely terrace with daily visits from the ducks and swans and so peaceful. It was nice to be able to use the resorts pool and warm up in the sauna after a chilly day out walking in Windemere which was only around half an hour away. We also ate in the restaurant which was lovely and made use of the bar. Can't wait to return as we've already booked again for a longer stay in the summer to explore a little more of the lake district. Thanks Mark for a perfect break.
