Regina Dar is a spectacular luxury residence located in the center of Positano, with architectural elements that mix Arabic-style with the majolica style, typical of Positano. Following a skillful renovation, which further enhanced its characteristic elements, it is the ideal place to spend one's holidays in the name of relaxation, sea, and luxury.
The historic building in which it is located is one of the late 18th-century palaces directly overlooking the sea, offering a breathtaking view of the Galli island and the entire Amalfi Coast.
The recent renovation brought together elements of Arab-Mediterranean culture, which for a long time influenced the architecture and construction techniques of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, such as a majolica tank reminiscent of a hammam, and an ivory stone floor, cut in the shape of an Arab star. To embellish everything, early 19th-century Vietri majolica tiles present in both the kitchen and dining room, faithfully reproducing the idea of the domestic hearth, on which, in past times, one cooked.
The ancient majolica tiles also return in the headboards of the beds or in the open wardrobes, bringing rhythm and colour to wide and bright white rooms. The yellow of the sun and tiles, the blue of the sea that can be admired from every room, the whiteness of white, create a sensory mix capable of giving you vibrant emotions.
But let's delve into the details of this wonderful apartment, the entrance is from the main street, Viale Pasitea, with just five steps that lead us into the house. A glass corridor leads us to the living room, with generous dimensions, composed of white linen sofas, a table with wrought iron chairs, ceramic jugs and decorations in Positano style. Between the living room and the dining room, we also find a first complete bathroom, spacious with the presence of a hydromassage bathtub with cervical jet, specially designed and enhanced by antique majolica tiles, shower, toilet, bidet and stone washbasin.
From the living room, you access the external terrace, partially covered, to allow enjoying a lunch or dinner even in the hottest months of the year, we also find sunbeds, an outdoor shower and armchairs for outdoor relaxation.
From the living room, we move to the dining room, with built-in sideboards in Vietri majolica, a central wooden table with eight chairs, fridge with freezer and the wine cellar, assorted with a personal selection and available to guests. The kitchen, built under two symmetrical domes, consists of a Carrara marble sink, a hob with four burners, two of which are induction and two gas. Dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, toaster and kettle by D&G in the limited series inspired by Sicily.
