We actually stayed at one of the hosts other properties - Penlon bungalow. The bungalow was offered by the host as an alternative & suited our group perfectly. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area.
Beautiful cottage, recently updated and amazingly clean. Well equipped with all amenities. Only slight downside is location on the road so can get a bit noisy with cars, especially during the days
Had a lovely stay over Father’s Day weekend. Beautifully fitted out with quality furnishings, comfortable beds. Everything of the best quality. Great communications with the owner. Very affable and efficient.
A lovely property, plenty of space and three bedrooms was great for our teenagers to have a room each. Lounge and kitchen comfortable with big dining table. Pleasant space in garden. Only downside for us was being directly on the main road, the cars go past very close, though not as much traffic as we thought there would be.
We loved how clean and comfortable this house was, and the quality of the Nouveau Farmhouse updates. It truly was charming, and nicely fitted out for cooking our meals in. There are Shetland ponies just across the street too, and horses and sheep up behind. It’s only a couple miles from Devil’s Bridge. We had a lovely stay!

We didn't stay in this cottage. We were moved by the owner to a bungalow still in the same area. The bungalow was lovely the only downside there was a strong smell in the family bathroom of sewerage. Also my husband found a dirty plate in the cupboard.

Terribly disappointed by this review - especially given NOTHING was mentioned during the stay - and my property manager (superstar at managing my 6 other properties) was on hand at a moments notice. I suggest Eleri better suited to a hotel.

House was nicely renovated and clean. Heating and Tv didn’t work these things happen but only contact was owner in France, communication was very poor. was told plumber coming next day 10.30, but only property manager came, who couldnt help. rang vrbo to sort out, owner then emailed using capitals, promising plumber, non arrived. we left early. its not that things didn't work, it was lack of polite communication. Parking not ideal, next to road, need to wait until road clear to get out, extra care with dogs. garden would have been better for strimming and pruning shrubs.

We stayed for a festive break and enjoyed lovely walking nearby & further afield. Property has been renovated and has some nice touches. Arriving on Xmas eve we anticipated being able to relax on arrival - however the house was cold so we put on the (underfloor) heating and went out for a local walk but it took 12/15hrs overnight to warm up. There is a woodburner but we were advised in advanced not to use it. The flue needs a bit of TLC. Unfortunately the house had not been cleaned and as this was our festive break we didn't take cleaning stuff & wasn’t going to embark on doing it although we swept floors and had to clean crockery/utensils ahead of using them. We took pictures of everything but have decided against sharing them on this feedback as this may have been a ‘one off’. Suffice to note, the entire house would’ve benefited from a good (deep) clean. In fairness the host, Kate, responded swiftly and refunded 50 as a gesture of goodwill which we accepted. Using the oven without oven gloves was a challenge! Previous guests commented about the road (A44) which the house sits directly on - it was exceptionally busy, day and night with very fast vehicles - noise and headlights adversely affected our sleep as both double bedrooms are at the front; windows would benefit from blinds to block out these lights. The suggestion that you can walk to the nearby visitors centre or cafe is ludicrous given the volume and speed of the traffic without a pavement.
