Absolutely Fabulous Stay at this Farmhouse. Wonderful hosts in Luba and Chris who were so informative and helpful.Lovely property inside and out. So relaxing and peaceful. Missing the wonderful breakfasts already. 10 out of 10 !!
Perfect location for some R&R in beautiful Dorset countryside
Great comms and lovely welcome from Luba and Chris for our two night stay. Easy to find and parking right next to the front door. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very peaceful with two spacious doubles, both with their own TV and modern en-suite facilities. Comfortable lounge with wood burner, TV and jigsaw ready to go - all with lovely views over to Hardy's Monument. Ideal location for visiting the local area by car - we went to Weymouth (Catch! restaurant was fab), Dorchester, Poundbury, Max Gate (National Trust) and Athelhampton House - will definitely be back as lots more to see. A great value mini-break, thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Luba Roberts
In my previous life I was a teacher. Since starting hosting, I have enjoyed learning new skills - mostly cooking and learning about the local area that is rich in cultural and historical heritage. I have been learning a few languages as we are welcoming guests from all over Europe.
Why they chose this property
This is where I live with my husband and I feel truly blessed and lucky as this is a truly stunning location.
What makes this property unique
Being 'in the middle of nowhere' and at the same time within reach to many places of interest. You can enjoy the seaside, Jurassic coast, rolling hills, beautiful nature, historical sites (Romans) and links (admiral Thomas Hardy's monument, testing of the bouncing bomb, D-day landing), literary connections (writer Thomas Hardy), culinary delights, etc. Looking over the landscape in the light of the rising sun in the morning, during the day and gazing at the colours of the subset makes you grateful for being able to marvel at these sights in this very special place.
