ALL REVIEWS 5*! Everything you could possibly want is available at this fully equipped Home Away from Home. Initially rented exclusively through La Quinta Resort Leasing, this home has all premium upgrades the Resort requires. This very special 2 Master Bedroom floor plan with great separation of bedrooms offers everything needed for the perfect getaway.


Enter through your front gate, which faces the Resort, and walk through your lushly appointed walkway, romantically lit with solar lights in the evening. Pick juicy grapefruits and lemons
from your own trees. Enjoy a game of backgammon on your Bistro Table, relax with friends in your sitting area and enjoy the bubbling fountain: music to your ears! Relax out here, especially on evenings during the Season, and privately enjoy live outdoor music from the Resort. Listen to Alexa inside or out! Set up music to the Bluetooth spreaker.

The remodeled, fully stocked kitchen is light and bright thanks to the new solar light with solar night light, (there are 5 throughout the home) and a kitchen door that opens to your lush front entertaining patio. The kitchen has all new appliances, Keurig coffee maker, milk frother, 4 slice toaster, electric wine opener, Vitamix and so much more! Entertain in style: the Dining Room table seats 8 with an extra leaf in the guest closet and extra chairs at the desk in each bedroom. Full charging station with plugs for phones, iPads etc.

The Living Room has two recliner chairs (each reclines two
positions!) and genuine leather couch, (both sides recline), to enjoy your favorite movie or show on your large, wall-mounted flatscreen TV. Cable, Wifi, Internet, Sports channels, DVD player, and Universal Remote and Sound Bar included. The center console holds all types of books, games, cards, and coloring books, and the coffee table will always have many choices of current magazines. Create a romantic setting with the many candles provided, the cozy fireplace, a large assortment of pillows, even a picnic basket - wine glasses included!

Open your sliding glass door to your own patio with lovely mountain views, divided on both sides from neighboring homes. Enjoy meals cooked on your new gas grill and curl up with a good book or magazine on one of the new pillowed loungers.

The Master Bedroom Suite is complete with a wall-mounted flatscreen TV, stocked end tables with drawers, iHome charger alarm clock radios, down pillows, vibrating back rest, large dresser, and an assortment of suitcase holders. Make yourself at home with plush robes (cool summer and warm winter) for your lounging pleasure. There is also a desk and chair in case there's work to be done - but we hope you're just writing postcards with "Wish you were here!!" The remodeled Master Bath has limestone countertops, new faucets and sinks, newly painted cabinets and hardware, a second oversized closet, a glass-surrounded soaking tub, and dual headed shower with hand held attachment. A basket of bathroom goodies will be provided in both bathrooms. The linen closet in the Master suite contains extra pillows, towels, sheets, softy blankets, a heating pad, chaise lounge cover, neck massager, electric rollers and - our in-home spa favorite! - a paraffin tub, with wax and gloves!

The second remodeled Master Suite has the same upgraded features as well as a gorgeous view of the front patio. Open your windows and let the fountain lull you to sleep. All windows
are screened, and both the front and kitchen doors have disappearing screen doors.

The laundry room is located between the two bedrooms.
Laundry soap, fabric softener, stain removers, Oxyclean, (including WineOut, our personal life-saver!), dryer sheets, and extra towels are provided. There is a new iron, ironing board, and a steamer. There are extra light bulbs and cleaning supplies stocked. The linen cupboard in the hallway includes beach towels, extra towels, lounge chair towel holders, visors, 😎 sunglasses and more games.

The garage has four (4) bikes with locks, two with baskets, pool toys, floats, lawn games, tennis rackets and balls, golf clubs and balls as well as extra cooking utensils, crockpot, turkey cooker, electric skillet, griddle, Vitamix etc. This is YOUR HOMEAWAY FROM HOME!!

By far the best place to stay and Katie has done an amazing job providing all the comforts of home! We rarely eat out and rely on having a well stocked kitchen—not only with pantry supplies but cooking supplies—completely meets this requirement! Have stayed here multiple times and never disappointed. Looking forward to returning again (soon!).

Wonderful condo in la quinta!

This Unit is lovely and in a great location. It has been recently renovated so it's very clean and nicely decorated. There are welcoming touches such as comfy hotel robes and towels in both bathrooms. The kitchen is well organized and easy to operate. The owners are equally as nice and easy to work with.

Home away from home

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfy. Overall, it was the best equipped rental yet. Very thoughtful touches throughout, even a stocked fridge upon arrival with breakfast items etc. for the morning. We were very comfortable here. Loved the bikes to tool about and the close proximity to the resort. Highly recommended! Thank you Kathleen.

Great location. Beautiful condo with everything you need including things you forgot (toothbrush). Pool and hot tub 100 feet away. Bikes and tennis rackets in garage. Highly recommend. We enjoyed near by biking , hiking and golf. 2 minute walk to resort restaraunts and shops and less than a mile to old town La Quinta.

LOOK OUT FOUR SEASONS YOU HAVE COMPETITION!!!

Can't say enough great things about this welcoming, luxurious property! My husband and I travel extensively for business and pleasure and our stay here far exceeded all our expectations. We have also stayed numerous times at the La Quinta Resort next door, and this condo beats that resort "hands down." This home and property are meticulously maintained, and every need anticipated. We enjoyed this condo's quiet and beautifully decorated patios, but also the wonderful entertainment and restaurants just a short walk away. They even have bicycles that we rode all around Santa Rosa Cove and into the quaint little town of La Quinta. Have already booked another vacation at our new "home away from home." We rate this one a Must Stay :)!

Absolutely perfect place!

I don't know where to even start with how wonderful this place was! Kathleen was great to work with, so helpful and easy to get a hold of by phone, text or email. The place itself was immaculate and incredibly well stocked with everything you might need - it was like you were staying in your own home. Need a bandaid? It was there. Need a hat for the sun? Yup, it was there. When we arrived the fridge had a selection of food so we didn't need to run to the grocery store immediately. Beds were very comfortable, the towels were plush. I could gush on and on about how great this place was. We stayed for the Coachella festival and rode our bikes to the grounds. This was the best idea ever - the bikes were awesome and the ride was a flat and easy 3 miles. You will not be disappointed in renting this place - if we ever come back we will be sure to book here again.

A special home in a special place -- best rental ever!

I have stayed at several rental properties in multiple locations and never have I stayed at a home that has been so completely and thoroughly catered to anticipate the needs of its guests. For all intents and purposes you are staying at the LaQuinta resort, since this properly is literally 10 steps from it (across the street), but staying here far exceeds staying at the resort, as the amenities and features provided at this lovely home far surpass anything you'd experience there. Staying at this home provides the best of both worlds. The property outline and other reviews do a nice job of explaining and exalting the benefits of the property. I don't need to repeat those things -- though I agree with them all. What's special about this home is that this IS a home. There's nothing about it that feels like a "guest property." Everything and anything you could imagine a home should have this home has -- and then some. From the quality of the linens to the extensive and high end kitchen tools and appliances, you will be spoiled from the moment you walk in the door. And Kathleen has thought of everything you might need -- from the seemingly mundane (batteries! paper clips!) to the essentials (hair dryer!), and even the laundry room is fully stocked with supplies. And did I mention the Keurig machine? There was seriously not one thing we could think of that wasn't provided -- and I can't count how many times one of us opened a drawer or cabinet door and said to the other, "You're not going to believe what's in here -- I can't believe she thought of this!" And Kathleen is a "hands on" owner, whose priority is ensuring her guests get the most out of their time at her home. She literally sends you a guide in advance that she's put together, with highlights of the property and surrounding area that is essential, especially if you're unfamiliar with the area. The love and care she's devoted to her home is exemplified in her interactions with you and her focus on your needs. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is unique and truly special. Thank you, Kathleen, for your thoughtfulness and allowing us to stay in your home. I hope to return soon!

Mother’s Day long weekend

This condo was a perfect place for my family for a long weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Felt like home and had a lot of conveniences including drinks and condiments in the fridge so we didn’t have to rush out to buy groceries. Quick walk over to the resort where rest of our family was staying. Definitely plan to stay there again!!!!

If you need it, this place has it! It was clean, roomy and an overall beautiful casita for our family of 4. We stayed a week from WA state and having a pool just steps away was so convenient and accessible. And talk about the best host! We arrived Easter Sunday to 2 wonderful baskets each with my girls' names. They were full of candy, toys and fun stuff. And not to mention the 2 bottles of wine for mom and dad and fridge stocked with breakfast foods and drinks. This was the best rental by far and a superb location. It was also steps away from main resort entry for fun people watching and snacks/drinks. Thank you so much again Hawkes!

Second time, same perfection!

This was my second time at this property, and I didn't think my expectations could be surpassed, since I already knew how wonderful it was, and yet they were! This property -- and the owner's attention to detail to ensure our stay was optimal -- have basically ruined me for all other rentals. It is perfection. To say it is "well appointed" is such an understatement. There is nothing -- NOTHING -- you could wish for that isn't there. I keep discovering new things in Katie's vacation home that I want in my REGULAR home. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? :-) As others have stated, whether it's the dream kitchen, outdoor furnishings, bikes or perfect location, this property is simply the best. My only hesitancy in writing this review is that I know it will make it harder for me to rent again, because it will be booked! But Katie deserves it for all of the time and effort she puts into making sure her guests are happy and enjoy their stay in beautiful La Quinta. Thx, Katie!

A wonderful vacation

Katie was a superb host! She emailed us all the information we needed a few days prior and the house was ready for our arrival. Seriously, 9 days was not long enough. A few steps away from this house: LQ resort shops and restaurants, tennis courts, pool, bike and walking paths, etc. Also included were bikes...we hardly drove anywhere...we just used the bikes! They were in perfect shape and more comfortable than my bike at home. The kitchen had everything we needed! Even though it was perfect BBQ weather, we didn't use the BBQ but it is ready and on the deck! The courtyard is pretty! I hope to rent again from Katie. Thank you Katie and Family.

Stop looking, you won't find anything better!

I've stayed in many vacation rentals, but Katie and Rick's place is by far the best. Clean, spacious, excellent location, the most comfortable beds, fluffy robes. Katie provides everything you could possibly need and more. Katie responds quickly and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We were closer to La Quinta Resort than if we'd stayed at the Resort! This is the only place I will stay in La Quinta from now on. I can't wait to come back. An oasis in the desert for sure!

Best VRBO (or any rental property) we have ever stayed in!

We have vacationed all over the world, and stayed in countless hotels, resorts, and rental properties. Kathleen’s beautiful home is by far the most well appointed home we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the gorgeous furniture (indoor and out) to the comfortable beds, to the overly stocked kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms, you name it. We lacked for absolutely nothing! Even a clean and comfortable rollaway bed, endless pool and sports equipment, bikes, books, and board games all neatly arranged in the garage for our use! This is an amazing home, and I really can’t recommend it highly enough. Kathleen took care of our every need, even FaceTiming with me one morning to walk me through the Keurig coffee maker (I don’t own one!). Front and back patios are gorgeous for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and the pool is right across a grassy walkway which is so convenient. The resort is literally a two minute walk, making the location just perfect. Thank you, Kathleen, for the unforgettable trip. We will be back!

Beautiful Oasis

My husband and I brought our 3 teenage daughters and 10 yr old son for a weekend away. We all had such a great time! I have never found such gracious hospitable owners. They were fantastic! Our kids loved riding the bikes they provided, playing tennis, swimming, hot tubbing and much more! The grounds are beautifully taken care of and our 10 year old loved playing catch on the grass. It was just the most relaxing weekend.

Perfect in every way!

We have gone to La Quinta for New Years several years in a row, but this was our first time staying in a condo and not in a hotel and we will certainly never go back to the hotel! Wonderful condo, laid out perfectly, with literally every amenity you can imagine. We travel quite a bit, and I'm also an airbnb host, and I have never stayed in a place as well organized for guests as this one was. Literally every drawer was filled with exactly what should be there -- and is labeled with directions and explanation. And the location is just perfect. Plus the bikes tires were pumped, there was snacks and staples in the fridge and even New Year's hats! Seriously I felt like I was robbing someone because it shouldn't be cheaper to stay in a two bedroom condo with a full kitchen and two baths than in a small hotel room 20 yards away. Thank you thank you thank you Kathleen for making traveling during covid as wonderful as it could possibly be. You set the bar for all future travels very high and I hope to be able to stay again soon!

Simply the Best!

We decided last minute to visit the Palm Springs area and lucked out when Katie and Rick had a cancellation over Christmas. What a gem...it is steps away from the pool and resort, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas . Takeout drinks/ food were available from resort restaurants and there was enough outdoor seating on the gorgeous grounds to feel safe during COVID-19 restrictions. When we stepped into the villa, we were greeted with Christmas music on Alexa, Christmas stockings for my husband, me and our pup, and beautifully wrapped gifts for each of us under a tiny Christmas tree! We expected to have to make a trip to the grocery store but discovered everything we could possibly need for breakfast the next morning. The villa is spotless, and the kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable. Katie has used top quality linens, and the villa is spotless. So much attention to detail, even down to current magazines. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to another visit!

Perfection!

We couldn't ask for anything more perfect than this beautiful condo. The location is steps from the resort. The condo is furnished beautifully and every amenity that you need is there. Hi, we are Rick and Kathleen (Katie) Hawkes. We live and work in San Diego and have been coming to the desert since we were both children. We have been married for 36 years. We have two children, a daughter and a son. I sell Real Estate and my husband is a General Contractor. We built our home in Elfin Forest and live on a 3 acre farm complete with a pig and chickens and a garden that will take your breath away. We absolutely fell in love with La Quinta on our first visit. Owning this condo has been a dream come true. We so want your every need to be fulfilled at our home. Why they chose this property

First of all, Santa Rosa Cove is the only place I know where you can live at a resort. The first weekend we came we never drove anywhere. We walked to the resort for coffee and bagels or breakfast in the morning and enjoyed one of the fabulous restaurants at night. We took walks, rode bikes, hit balls on the resort putting green, played in one of the many pools and enjoyed the live music at the resort in the evening.

What makes this property unique

We looked at many condos before choosing this one. The location and the peace and quiet were what sold us. Literally steps to the main waterfall fountain area allows us to walk out our door and watch a beautiful wedding unfold. We also loved the healthy fruit trees and climbing bougainvillea welcoming you in to the front patio. I love the high ceilings in the living and dining rooms. I added Sola tubes in the kitchen, dining and family room as well as the hallway and master bath. I recently added solar night lights inside the Sola tubes so the house is never dark accept the bedrooms at night when you pull down your blackout shades. The separation of bedrooms is wonderful. One of my favorite things is the door in the kitchen that opens to the front patio. Not many of these condos have this feature. I also like this location because it's just steps to the nearest pool. I wanted to be close to the pool but not hear the noise from the pool area. We chose this condo because it is set back from both neighbors and we view the fabulous mountains and a greenbelt instead of a walkway, which gives lots of privacy. Our views do not include any streets.
