About this property
The Old Jewellers – Cosy retreat with rich history
Old Jewellers is a charming cottage in the heart of Tayport, offering a comfortable, characterful base for exploring the Scottish coast and countryside. The property sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, two spacious king rooms and a cosy double, and suits families, couples or friends.
Inside, the cottage blends traditional character with modern comforts. A spacious living room provides a relaxing place to unwind, while the dining kitchen offers everything needed for preparing meals and dining together. A separate lounge with dining area gives further space for shared meals and quiet evenings. The property also includes a modern bathroom.
Outside, enjoy the secure south facing garden, barbecue area and summer house, ideal for morning coffee or relaxing evenings. The cottage is pet friendly, and secure indoor storage is available for golf clubs or bicycles.
Old Jewellers has a unique history connected to the Waldrum family. The name honours Thomas Waldrum, a watchmaker and jeweller born in 1866 who ran his business from the building until 1930. The original shop entrance sat between the two front lounge windows, and his workshop was located in what is now the lounge, giving the cottage a distinctive character.
Tayport also offers coastal walks, a harbour and marina, and easy access to St Andrews and Dundee for golf, beaches and museums.
Guests have full access to the cottage and private garden throughout their stay.
