About this property

A beautiful recently renovated modern but homely cottage by St Andrews.

Braid Cottage was originally created from old farm buildings in the early 1980's. Sitting in a peaceful courtyard setting it has been recently renovated offering modern and up to date facilities including underfloor heating and wifi while retaining a homely and cosy environment. Only a few miles from the picturesque town of St Andrews it is surrounded by arable farmland, there is also access from St Andrews to coastal walking and beautiful beaches and of course golf. The property offers off road parking for cars (not suitable for commercial or large vans) open gardens and the closet village shop is only 0.5 miles away.
On ground level Braid Cottage has an open plan kitchen and dining room with Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee machine etc, the dining room seats 8. A spacious sitting room with an open fire and television, a master bedroom with shower en suite. Upstairs a further 3 double bedrooms with zip and link beds and a family bathroom with over bath shower. At the front of the cottage there is an area to sit and enjoy the pretty courtyard, there is also access to all the garden areas.
Where possible I will be on site to greet guests on arrival, a fresh pantry basket can be provided and there is an information book detailing the operation of all the household appliances, information on local amenities and tourist information booklets.

Beautiful Blair Cottage
One word… AMAZING! Braid Cottage is the perfect place to experience The Kingdom of Fife. It is a country location and feel on the main rode between Cuper and St. Andrews. It has all the amenities you need, including a lovely Nespresso coffee maker for us Yanks. Hilary is a lovely person, very responsive and attentive to every question and need. The cottage space is generous and decorated so cozy, you feel at home each time you return. 💜💜💜

Great place to stay in St Andrews area
I cannot say enough good things about our stay, 4 couples on a visit to Scotland, golfing and sight seeing. It is real close to St Andrews, there is a farm store and restaurant just down the street, train station close for trips to Edinburgh or north. Hilary was great and took care of us. Fresh Bread, homemade jam, bottle of wine, eggs and coffee awaited us on arrival. We all had a great time, Thank you Hilary we all would definitely stay here again

Fabulous Cottage
Your host Hilary is awesome, she welcomes you upon arrival, gives you a tour of the home and tells you everything you need to know about the area. She leaves you a welcome basket with eggs, milk, homemade bread, treats and wine. The cottage itself was impeccably decorated and very cozy at the same time. The property is a short drive to St. Andrews one way and Cupar the other way, which has a train station with a 1 hour ride into Edinburgh, so you get the both the small village stay and big city entertainment you want. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot!
We needed a spot to accommodate six adults and one kiddo for graduation at St Andrews. Braid Cottage was lovely! The cottage is decorated beautifully and every little thing you could want has been thought of and provided. Hilary is an exemplary host and I can guarantee you will want to move in! There's a lot of flexibility with the bedrooms (can be double beds or two singles) and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The cottage is about a 10-15 minute drive outside of the heart of StA. n This was not an issue for us, but consider what your plans are and know that parking in StA can be a challenge. We really liked getting away from things into the peace and quiet. All in all, an absolutely fabulous stay. We're already dreaming about/planning our next visit!
