The Aspen Getaway has loads of mountain charm and is located in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by aspens and evergreens. Perfectly equipped for your family vacation. Established VRBO with wonderful property manager.

Living spaces: The main floor has a recently remodeled kitchen with bar seating for four; dining room with decorative (non-functional) wood stove in fireplace and a locally made table with six chairs; living room with couch, three comfy chairs, one with ottoman, a rocking chair and freestanding propane stove.
Sleeping: 4 rooms to spread out. Main floor primary bedroom with queen bed and private; main floor second bedroom with queen bed. Second floor spacious bedroom with a queen bed, couch and rocking chair. Second floor roomy loft (sleeps 4) with queen bed, daybed with pop-up trundle and a 2nd TV with DISH and Blu-ray so the kids can hang out apart from the adults.
Bathrooms: 1 main bath with tub shower combo, primary bedroom has private 3/4 bath.
Outdoor: Plenty of parking (space for 4 vehicles). Front porch with 2 wood rockers and glider. Propane fire pit for safe marshmallow and hot dog roasting. Expanded and fenced back deck with picnic table for relaxing Propane BBQ grill for your cookouts stored in garage for bear safety.
Conveniences/amenities: High thread count sheets, fluffy towels, washer/dryer, Internet WiFi, satellite TV, and Blu-ray. Bear proof trash removal - picked up weekly. Water sanitizer/softener/treatment system (2020) for great water quality.

The Aspen Getaway is close to everything and far enough away to relax. Located about 20 minutes south of the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It is 4 miles south of Henry's Lake for that monster fish catch, 5 miles north of the Henry's Fork River in Mack's Inn for river floats, and about 15 miles north from the Island Park Reservoir. Restaurants, gas stations, Island Park golf course, fishing, hunting, ATV trails, river rafting, horseback riding, and water sports are all just minutes away from the cabin.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please wash and dry all used towels before departure. Start at least one load of sheets and leave remaining used linens in the laundry room. Leave quilts and blankets on the bed.
If you have an early flight out, please contact us in at least a day in advance so we can work with you on laundry request. There is no local laundry service to help our cleaners.
If you used the outside water spigots, please make sure to turn the water off completely and double check before you leave the property. Leaving the hose running can damage our well pump.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Great Family Vacation & Location

The setting was beautiful in the aspen woods. House was so comfortable and well stocked. Easy commute to West Yellowstone and Yellowstone West entrance. Owner very helpful and responsive to questions.

Perfect Yellowstone Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for our Yellowstone trip. The location is great, the house was clean and we even saw a Moose in the neighborhood one evening! We could not have had a better stay!

A Great Cabin in a Beautiful Setting

We enjoyed our stay at the Watering Hole. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It had everything we needed for a great stay. We especially liked that it was close to Yellowstone NP. I would highly recommend it to my family and friends.

Wonderful place!

The cabin is amazing. So luxuriously comfortable! The appliances are very high end and the kitchen has everything you might need. It's so peaceful. Lisa was amazing to deal with, so very nice! I hope we have an opportunity to return someday.

Perfection

I cannot say enough good things about this cabin! Hands down the most well equipped kitchen in a VRBO I've ever stayed in. The cabin is wonderfully furnished and comfy with a cabin feel you'd expect in this area. Owners are quick to respond to any questions or concerns you might have. It's close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone and the shopping/ restaurant selection is decent in West Yellowstone, the Wild West Pizzaria and Saloon was our favorite hands down.

Fall fly-fishing trip

This was a guys 12 day fly-fishing vacation. Your cabin was perfect and very comfortable. There were 5 of us and we found that we all had our space. Would love to rent it again.

This charming home was perfect for our needs. The location made access to West Yellowstone very easy. The home itself was able to accommodate 9 guests comfortably minus the limited counter space but we did t spend much time inside so it wouldn't prevent me from booking here again in the future. Overall, I'd say go for it!

The Perfect Launching Pad to Yellowstone

My family of 4 had such a lovely stay at this charming home for 4 nights in June. Everything about our stay was perfect and the place came exactly as advertised. Communication from the property manager was great. The space is really comfortable and clean (loved the front porch rockers), with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of conveniences already included that were greatly appreciated (bear spray, picnic baskets, a pantry full of seasonings). It was an easy 20 minute drive to the West Yellowstone park entrance, while still being remote enough that you feel truly in the wilderness. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals as a family, and this was by far my most enjoyable experience.

Awesome

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Watering Hole". The cabin is beautifully decorated and fully equipped. It has a roomy dining room and family room and comfortable beds. It is in an excellent location (only 20 minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone). With the uncertainty with the covid situation, Lisa the owner was very understanding and accommodating, allowing us to wait to make our final payment until 2 weeks before our scheduled arrival. Overall it was a great experience and the next time we visit Yellowstone, this is where we want to stay.

Perfect!

Sweet, comfortable cabin with blend of rustic w/ modern amenities. Updated kitchen and appliances, comfy LR furniture, big table for game night, plenty of beds, towels -- washer & dryer! Great Wi-Fi and TWO bathrooms a big plus for a family of 5. Super close to the West entrance of Yellowstone. And mama & baby moose outside the window. :-)

Cozy cabin for our trip to Yellowstone

We enjoyed and loved our stay at this cabin during our recent trip to Yellowstone. The cabin is very well stocked which allowed us to cook home meals and do laundry. The check-in and check-out procedure are easy to follow. The only thing we couldn’t figure out is how to keep the breaker from tripping from running the two portable heaters upstairs (this is mentioned in the binder so it’s not a surprise). Overall we still enjoyed it and would come back again!

Won't disappoint

Of all the places I have stayed this is one of the best. It was accommodating from the renter responding quickly when ever I asked questions, there was so many hangers and hooks for use, many utensils, spices to cook with (which was helpful when I was making burgers), everything was labeled especially helpful when switching on the lights. Everyone loved the rocking chairs and the Air fryer was such a plus when we had take outs for the fries. The place was amazingly clean. The place is a little over 20mins from West Yellowstone town which was perfect to do take-outs and get to the house after a long day walking around Yellowstone NP. If I plan to visit Yellowstone again this is the number one choice for me.

Great stay - very pleased!

We were very pleased with our stay for 4 nights in late September. It was obvious that the cabin is well maintained, kept up and in good shape, and that the owners/managers tried to make it a great place to stay (I say that after coming there from two nights at a place that wasn’t kept up, so this was appreciated). Plenty of room, heating controls in every room, washer/dryer, the Direct TV and internet worked well, etc. We did not use the garage space so can’t speak to that. We did use all four bedrooms, and all were comfortable. The only issue we had, and I don’t think there is much control over this, was the strong iron(?) taste of the well water, so we stocked up on bottled water. There were some basic supplies in the cabin that kept us from having to run out and purchase, so that was nice. I had to call the manager once due to a flipped breaker and the call was answered promptly. Was about an easy 20 minute drive into West Yellowstone, and there was a small decent grocery about 5 minutes away. Would recommend this and stay here again if coming back.

Comfortable nice cabin to stay in.

The cabin was a welcome place to arrive at. Not far from the main road but far enough to not have any traffic. We stayed a week and had a great time lounging, preparing meals and going into the park. We had moose right outside the cabin in the mornings and evenings. The distance to the park started to seem a bit much after a few days but the cabin was much better than any of the ones I saw available in west yellowstone so it was worth it. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The bad: They made a big deal about not leaving any garbage in the cabin when leaving (big fine) and the dump they want you to take it to is miles out of the way. Why isn't that part of the cleaning deposit? It should be. The water, while ok, didn't taste great so we opted for bottled. Even though there is room for quite a few to sleep there we had a hard time scraping together silverware for 4. My wife wouldn't let me use the cutting board. It should be replaced. Every horizontal surface was covered with knickknacks so we had to move stuff to be able to make anything usable. It could be toned down a bit. All-in-all the negatives were minor and we had a great stay.

This cabin was great. All appliances were very good. The location was great just about 20 minutes to the west entrance to Yellowstone. It was very easy to contact the managers with some questions we had. We would highly recommend this cabin.

My husband and I stayed at this property with another couple. The cabin was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with all the basics, excellent cookware, everything we could possibly need. It was close enough to the west entrance of YNP for daily visits, but far enough away from the “touristy” areas so it was quiet and peaceful. We were all extremely pleased with every aspect of this cabin. We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin was so great! It is so beautiful, and comfortable and had so many amenities that made our visit perfect! We loved the layout, with 4 bed/2 bath. There are plenty of dishes and a full kitchen! The cabin host was very easy to get a hold of, and we really felt like it was home for our 4 day visit! The cabin was clean and inviting! We will definitely be back next time!

We purchased this home in September 2017. Greg grew up in Texas but I grew up in Gardiner, MT (the north entrance of the park). Buying this wonderful home in Island Park is almost coming home for me! We currently live in the central valley of California and look forward to lots of great summer adventures in Island Park.

Why they chose this property

Besides the house itself, we love the abundance of trails in the area, closeness to Henry's Lake and are over the moon to be so close to Yellowstone. No matter where I have travelled, my heart has always belonged to Yellowstone and Greg has grown to feel the same.
