Beautiful property located in Island Park, ~ 30 miles outside of West Yellowstone. It is perfect proximity to the park! Fire pit, comfortable beds, beautiful location. We would definitely come back!
This is our second year renting from Kabino and we are extremely pleased with their properties, their excellent customer service and efficient/friendly staff.
This cabin is very comfy and cozy, located on a quiet road and is close to gas stations, markets, restaurants, only 1/2 hour to West Yellowstone and is also very close to Harriman State Park and Henry's Lake. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend both Kabino and this lovely cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing and enjoyable Yellowstone vacation experience.
lovely and quiet place to stay, very clean BUT frying pan needs replacing before the handle falls off completely, also the the inside of the window openings could do with a wipe down otherwise we had a brilliant stay

Julia, We'll let the housekeepers know that you commented on the great job they're doing. We appreciate you letting us know about the pan and sills we'll look into it right away. Glad you had a great stay and we hope to see you soon on a future adventure!
Quiet cabin. Building happening in the neighborhood, but was not a probelm. The management did a fantastic job of communicating. 5 Stars on Kabino management group! But, the cabin itself was less than desired. There are no outlets in the back bedroom, which meant only overhead lighting. There are no closets, dressers or nightstands in any of the rooms, so you are living out of your suitcase. There were a few nails nailedin to the logs, with a couple of empty hangars. When we arrived, there was no coffee or sugar, which seems to be standard in most VRBO's, so we had to take a quick trip to the store. Not a big deal for us, just something to be mindful of. The deck appears to be semi new board son top of old boards and there appears to be critters digging in and out around the house. Just needs a little TLC. There were some new Adirondak chairs around the fire pit. Nice touch.

Quiet Space near Yellowstone
This is a cabin within a 40 minute drive of the west entrance to Yellowstone. The kitchen amenities provided everything we needed to cook a meal and overall we enjoyed the stay.
However, upon arrival we found dirty sheets on the queen bed that we removed and washed ourselves. Overall the place could use a deep clean, a new bed, and new sofas.
If you stay here, bring your own sheets or be prepared to wash them upon arrival.

Hi Cara, thanks for the feedback. Our housekeepers usually do a great job of paying close attention to detail, however if you would have reached out, I would have been more than willing to send someone back over to bring the cleanliness up to yours (and our!) standards. I can assure you that all linens are washes after every departure whether the bed looks like it has been slept in or not. I hope you had a wonderful time exploring Yellowstone with your husband! We suggest to our guests that they leave early in the morning and return late in the evening to avoid traffic at the entrance gate and to get in a full day of exploring!
This cabin had plenty of room for our family of four plus dogs. We had enough room for their crates, too, without feeling crowded. Plenty of towels, fully stocked kitchen, and full size washer and dryer. Windows are well placed and allow a nice cross-breeze to cool off the house in the afternoon. We enjoyed walking our dogs in the neighborhood and visiting hiking trails nearby. Yellowstone is about 45 minutes away and a grocery store with everything you need is about 10 minutes up the highway.

We are not sure what happened with this review. It appears the renter was confused. "Very good" was the comment. We believe the renter was confused on the rating system and we'll be following up to re-confirm they didn't understand the scale and review system.

We liked the Cabin. Our only complaints were the master bedroom mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable and we found socks in the bed that were not ours on the last day. Ewe! We appreciated all the amenities that were provided. Thanks.

Sandra, Property linens are washed between guests. The grill should have been ready for you as well. The home should have been fully prepared at check in. I wasn't able to locate any communication showing that you had reported these issues. Our support team would have worked to resolve anything we could with your rental. We will look into the job reports from the service vendors and reach out to them to see what may have gone wrong.
The Remington place was a perfect cabin for our Idaho-Yellowstone National Park adventure. The place had everything our family needed..from the rooms, bathroom, kitchen, fire pit and most specially the washer and dryer! The neighborhood was quite and the people were nice and respectful. The internet service was fast! The water heater and house heater worked perfectly! The cabin was clean! We enjoyed the fire pit too! The location was perfect..close to the Island Park Idaho best things to do and to the famous Yellowstone National Park. The communication with the agent was a breeze..we received immediate responses everytime we communicated with her. Our family vacation was more memorable because o the perfect place we stayed at. Thank you.

The cabin was nicely decorated and served our purpose well. I would have given a much better rating if the cabin would have been clean. It didn’t appear to have cleaned for awhile. Make sure you check the beds before crawling in between the sheets. One of the kids beds was full of some sort of beetle.

Thanks for your review, we wish you had called us immediately, our housekeepers are available 24/7 should you have any issues with the property. There is a popular Earwigs hatch that occurred in Island Park recently, famous for the fly-fishing area that we are in, it looks like a few must have flowin thru the door. I wish we could have prevented that, but, we'll do a full sweep now that you brought it to our attention. Thank you!
We absolutely loved the location. The lack of light pollution meant we could see an extraordinary number of stars and the Milky Way. Easy drive to the west entrance of Yellowstone NP. However, there were some issues. First, the WiFi. We could find no router on the property, only an extender. The best signal was outside or down the road, which led us to believe Kabino has 1 router for multiple properties. WiFi in the property was beyond spotty. Second, cleanliness. Dead bugs on window sills, cobwebs throughout, and live termites in the bathroom are the most pertinent examples. Finally, state of amenities. The pillows were the flattest I’ve ever seen. The sofa was so worn in it was uncomfortable. Towels were stained or had rips. The shower head was initially directed toward the shower door and was difficult to adjust leading to water spraying out onto the bathroom floor; after a long day of travel, this was an annoyance. I had reasonable expectations based on the price but was disappointed. I hope Kabino takes this feedback and makes the necessary adjustments.

Jessica, We are so happy that you enjoyed the location of this property and your visit to Yellowstone. We wish you had reached out to us about your concerns during your stay. The wifi troubles you experienced we could have easily resolved as the wifi for this home can only be reset remotely. A simple call to our support line could have saved you some frustration. Termites don't really live in this area, not to say they aren't there. but it is rare. We will certainly look into what you reported right away and take care of any pests. The woods can bring in critters so this is a constant for our maintenance crew. We store linens and pillows literally right next door to this property and would have been happy to help you with anything you required. We understand you shouldn't have these issues at check in and we will also follow up with what may have happened with our processes. We do take guest feedback seriously and will look into the items you noted. We appreciate it and want to make sure the properties are in a great condition for our guests. We certainly want you to walk away with fantastic memories. We hope you will give us another chance on a future adventure.

Reviewer Comments:
When we made the reservation, we understood that the cabin was small and rustic. We were not expecting anything other than a clean place to lay our heads at night after fishing and playing golf. How very disappointing to find that the rental was not clean at all! The refrigerator had not been wiped down and was still sticky with food, the shower was dirty, a used towel was hanging on the door, the sheets didn't smell or feel clean! There was a note on the table from the previous renters with their own complaints. It didn't leave us feeling very comfortable. As we got in late, and had an early morning fishing guide, we were not able to contact the property management until the next afternoon. We washed the sheets ourselves, got our own towels, wiped down the fridge and rewashed the dishes. The management was pleasant and professional over the phone, but insisted that their cleaning staff had been there and that they do an impeccable job. We have rented a lot of places all over the world, and we have never stayed anywhere that was so awful. After two phone calls, the management wrote us to let us know that there was nothing they could do to rectify the situation. Really? We had only asked for a discount. What poor customer service. We would have understood if somehow it had been missed on the cleaning circuit, but we cannot understand how they could happily take our money and not in any way apologize for the condition of their rental.

We work hard to make certain your stay is memorable, and the unit is in the best condition possible. We continually review our housekeeping procedures. Had we known about any issue during your stay, we would have reacted quickly, efficiently, and tried our best to correct the situation. Unfortunately, we weren't made aware of anything until you requested a discount after departure. We cannot react to something we don't know about or that is disclosed after departure. We are here to help, and can only wish you had contacted us sooner.
The cabin was nice. There were somethings that needed to be repaired. Linen was clean, rooms were clean. Cupboards had loose hinges. It would have been nice to have a fire and be able enjoy that area. Over all, it was nice, fishing was slow.

Okay but probably won’t book again
The manger was helpful considering Yellowstone closed they day we arrived and the road to the cabin was flooded. The cabin was okay, nothing to write home about. Which is too bad because it could be really nice. There were many maintenance issues that should be kept up with. About half the cabinet doors are breaking when you open them. The handle to the bathroom was almost completely falling off. The toilet seat is half way on and needs to be replaced. When you sit on the sofa you are practically sinking to the floor and it had a strange odor. The master bed is also really bad and needs to be replaced. It would be such a great little cabin if more of an effort was made with the up keep.
Real talk, it was pretty sweet. Loved the fire pit and the overall rustic vibes. Had everything we needed although make sure to keep an eye on the water heater because it can get cold fast. Also saw a moose. Pretty solid choice imo.
Awesome little cabin for us to snowmobile straight from. Cozy and Had everything we needed.
