Just 1 minute from the beach, Lovely Flat Monterosso is an airy 1st-floor apartment for 4. This contemporary apartment, with sea views, is in the heart of Monterosso, in the Cinque Terre. The entrance is via a charming series of steps through shaded woodland. It is ideal for all ages, whether you want a beach holiday or to explore the panoramic hiking trails along the coast.

The corner apartment is full of light. The sunny living room has a sofa, flat-screen TV, fireplace and a glass dining table for 4. French windows open onto the private balcony, with views over the beach. Guests can relax here with a glass of wine and enjoy the sea breeze. The separate, modern kitchen is well-equipped with a large cooker hob, oven, Moka coffee maker, washing machine and a fridge/freezer. There is also a breakfast bar in the kitchen for quick snacks.

Location
Monterosso is the largest of the 5 towns in Cinque Terre. It has two sandy beaches where you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas for a day by the sea. More adventurous visitors can hire a kayak and explore the coastline nearby.

The town is known for its annual Lemon Festival which takes place on the 3rd Saturday of May. The houses are beautifully decorated, and visitors can sample all kinds of lemon-based food and drinks.

Away from the beach, visitors will find some spectacular hiking along the Sentiero Azzuro, which connects all 5 towns of Cinque Terre. There is also a regular ferry service along the coast and a train service. Monterosso railway station is only a 3-minute walk from the apartment.

For self-catering there is a weekly farmers market (Thursday morning) where you can find the best local produce. For daily shopping, there is a supermarket in the town. However, visitors will find many excellent restaurants and cafés close by to suit all budgets.

Pisa’s International Airport is 1 hour and 40 minutes and Genova’s International Airport is a 1 hour, 45-minute drive from the apartment.

My two adult sons and I enjoyed staying here very much! The property was clean but a little basic in its decor. It quite a hike to get here so be prepared. Lugging my suitcase up the mountain was difficult and every time you want to go to town it’s a big hike. But the view is lovely and the outdoor deck is beautiful with the view of the sea. I also really liked the kitchen.

Great location- excellent cardio workout to get to the flat- lots of switchbacks but that is to be expected in the Cinque Terra. Adds to the charm of the area!

This apartment is fantastic. We LOVED the balcony and spent all our time out there - looking at the beach, listening to the birds and watching the trains go by below. Despite the train being close by, we had no issues with noise. There are many (!!) stairs to access this apartment from the street level, but this wasn't a problem for our group, just something to be aware of. The apartment was clean, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and a decent kitchen. We didn't cook so not sure how well stocked it was. The location so close to the train station and beach was a huge asset for our stay in the Cinque Terre. We LOVED this apartment!

Clean and comfortable roomy flat in the heart of “Old Monterosso” near the beach. A lot of steps to reach the door but the view is beautiful. Sit on the terrace and enjoy before a day of hiking Cinque Terre!
