Just 1 minute from the beach, Lovely Flat Monterosso is an airy 1st-floor apartment for 4. This contemporary apartment, with sea views, is in the heart of Monterosso, in the Cinque Terre. The entrance is via a charming series of steps through shaded woodland. It is ideal for all ages, whether you want a beach holiday or to explore the panoramic hiking trails along the coast.

The corner apartment is full of light. The sunny living room has a sofa, flat-screen TV, fireplace and a glass dining table for 4. French windows open onto the private balcony, with views over the beach. Guests can relax here with a glass of wine and enjoy the sea breeze. The separate, modern kitchen is well-equipped with a large cooker hob, oven, Moka coffee maker, washing machine and a fridge/freezer. There is also a breakfast bar in the kitchen for quick snacks.

Location
Monterosso is the largest of the 5 towns in Cinque Terre. It has two sandy beaches where you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas for a day by the sea. More adventurous visitors can hire a kayak and explore the coastline nearby.

The town is known for its annual Lemon Festival which takes place on the 3rd Saturday of May. The houses are beautifully decorated, and visitors can sample all kinds of lemon-based food and drinks.

Away from the beach, visitors will find some spectacular hiking along the Sentiero Azzuro, which connects all 5 towns of Cinque Terre. There is also a regular ferry service along the coast and a train service. Monterosso railway station is only a 3-minute walk from the apartment.

For self-catering there is a weekly farmers market (Thursday morning) where you can find the best local produce. For daily shopping, there is a supermarket in the town. However, visitors will find many excellent restaurants and cafés close by to suit all budgets.

Pisa’s International Airport is 1 hour and 40 minutes and Genova’s International Airport is a 1 hour, 45-minute drive from the apartment.
