Loaction was beautiful and the view from the hot tub was wonderful! Cabin was very clean absolutely not complaints there! Owners were very helpful and responded quickly, we were able to check in a little early. My only complaint would be the master bed could use an upgrade... other than this excellent place to stay!
The view from the hot tub and porch, as well as the view from inside looking out the front windows was absolutely stunning!!!! The host was very easy to contact with any questions. The only reason for not doing 5 stars is because the decking area that holds the hot tub was very unlevel. Still would recommend this place!
This was actually our 2nd stay at the property. Liked it so much the first time we came back for our Anniversary. Gorgeous views and well equipped for anything you'd want to do in the house. Weather was foggy most of the time we were there this time, but even that had it's own charm over the mountains and down into the valleys.
The views are even better than the pictures! We enjoyed every evening on the porch and in the hot tub. Fantastic communication with the owners!!

Dated Property
The property was very old, dated and worn as was all the furniture. We've stayed in Maggie Valley about 10 times over the last 4 years so have an appreciation for what other properties are like. The view was great but everything else was well below expectations.
We spent a nice long weekend at the cabin. We were looking for a place with a beautiful view and this was perfect. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch at the end of our day and was great during a rain storm. We would stay here again. My only suggestion would be to bring your own coffee.
This is a truly enjoyable vacation cabin. The view from the deck/hot is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped with all of the cookware, dishes and utensils needed. The furniture is all nice and comfortable. The beds are ery comfortable. The cabin was very clean when we checked in. Overall we have to say this is a very nice vacation cabin and we highly recommend it. We hope to be able to stay here again soon.
A three day weekend get away that didnt disappoint. We got to wake up to beautiful mountain views, see beautiful sunsets. They even thought of getting a butter dish! So nice when you can travel so very far to be in exactly what is posted.
This cabin is a little tough to get too but completely worth it and once you get used to the roads it’s really not bad in spring weather. The view is amazing at night you can see the lights of Maggie Valley and the beautiful mountains all day. Great owners with good communication and clear and complete instructions. This is my second visit to this cabin and I will almost certainly be back.
Thank you to Eric and Stacy for this opportunity! My husband, our pup and I stayed for two nights and were so sad to leave! The cabin is adorable and very cozy. The hot tub was amazing to relax in during the cool mornings and nights. The view, well you have to stay here to understand the beauty! It was a great celebration of our wedding anniversary! Only advice I have is to bring food to cook, once you get there you won't want to leave! We are so glad we stayed here with plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway from busy city life!
The name, Slice of Heaven, says it all! My husband and I recently stayed in this wonderful cabin during our visit to Maggie Valley. The views from the porch are absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and also sitting there in the evening to watch the sunset. The cabin and property were both well kept and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you might need to cook a meal and and the view of the mountains from the dining room table was amazing. The living room furniture was super comfortable and again you had a specatular view from the picture window. If you want a peaceful and relaxing vacation, then I would definitely recommend this beautiful cabin!
The property was exactly what we were hoping for. Beautiful views, quiet and comfortable. The owner were so nice to work with. We are already looking for another date that we can give the owners for our next stay.
This cabin was perfect for a few days. Everything worked properly and the cabin was clean. The hot tub was just what we needed. The view was worth every penny. Nice amount of starter products such as soap, dish soap, paper towels, etc. I never had to get rid of my trash ourselves at cabins and for those checking out on Sundays the dump is closed. You are expected to leave an extra fee for them to take it for you. The host was quick to respond.
STUNNING VIEW!! I took my wife of 43 years high school sweethearts here for the romantic view/hot tub, relive memories of the Great Smoky Mountains with our families, enjoy our dog Sunny, sit on the porch all day long/enjoy each other with no one else around, take peaceful walks together there.....it was all that and more!!On the way there we visited Soco Falls/parkway milestones and on way home Pretty Place Chapel and other falls.SECLUDED WITH GORGEOUS EVERCHANGING VIEW!! The Chappells
We've never explored the Smokey Mt area and this was the perfect spot to do so!!!Eric was very accommodating as was the rustic cabin feel, and all the amenities. The view was spectacular, especially from the hot tub, and the entire deck. I think we spent more time on the deck, when not enjoying the town and everything around it, then inside!!!Very comfortable, well appointed and the privacy was just like being in the woods by yourself. We will definitely be back!!!Thanks Eric & Stacy
The perfect cozy cabin. We felt right at home and the view was amazing. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. The way they maintain and care for the cabin felt just like it would if we were to have called it our home. Really can’t say enough nice things. Thank you for a peaceful and easy place!
The property was beautiful; it had picturesque views. Sunset was particularly beautiful when there wasn't cloud cover. The cabin had was well stocked with all of the appliances a typical person would have at home. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to drive to and from the Smoky Mountains Park. We were a bit uncomfortable with navigating the switchbacks, particularly at night, but we managed. It helped to have jeep to climb the steep inclines and it handled the descent nicely. The host provided great directions to help us find the cabin. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.
Super peaceful and beautiful. I live near a busy road so the peace and quiet was exactly what I needed. It was very clean and the hot tub was an amazing bonus. I highly recommend it.
Nice location with easy access to Cataloochee. The girls and I had a fabulous time!

About the host
Hosted by Eric and Stacy Peth
We have called Charleston, SC home for about 15 years now and love it. Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, my wife Stacy is a Yoga teacher working with diverse groups including children in low income schools, physically challenged individuals, public classes and private lessons to name a few. I was born and bred in Canada 30 miles west of Toronto. After finishing university I did my Masters in Australia before travelling and working abroad and in North America. I settled in Charleston where I work as a Realtor, investor, renovator, and manage my long term and vacation rentals. We're a family of 3 with our young daughter Satya. We visit our cabin and other mountain property as often as possible. The cabin is a great spot and we're happy to share it with you.
Why they chose this property
We purchased our cabin back in Oct 2017. Whenever we're travelling our vacation home search filter always starts with...hot tub, fire place and pet friendly. The log cabin feel and views are always a bonus as well. So when we saw the Slice of Heaven log cabin come available we knew we had found our spot. We were sold on the stunning, unbeatable views to be enjoyed from either hot tub or rocking chairs along with a fireplace and a fire pit all in a quiet, private setting. Not to mention the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a pull out couch allowing us to bring family and friends to enjoy it with us. We've got two other vacation rentals as well. One is just outside of Asheville where we've just added a patio and hot tub. The other is on the water with a dock in Beaufort, SC. Touch base if you would like more info on either.
What makes this property unique
Log cabin, unbeatable views, hot tub, first picture says it all while still not doing the views justice. Enjoy the peace and calm of Maggie Valley or head to Asheville or Waynesville for any number of activities. At the end of the day relax inside by the gas fireplace, play games and enjoy AT&T Wifi & DirectTV.
