About this property
Peaceful West Sussex Stay - Private Woodland Views
The Danehill apartment is in such a lovely spot, right in the middle of the West Sussex countryside. It’s on the historic Walden Hall grounds, and guests can explore its ancient woodland and even have private access to the South Downs link. It’s a really stylish three-bedroom place, great for families or a group if you’re after a peaceful country escape.
When you walk into Danehill, the first thing you notice is how bright and spacious it feels. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay, like an oven, a microwave, two fridge freezers, and all the usual bits and pieces for cooking. The lounge has comfy sofas, a dining area and a TV. WiFi is free and fast throughout. There are two double bedrooms, both with premium memory foam mattresses and plenty of wardrobe space. Then at the far end, there’s a twin room with bunk beds, which is great for kids or extra guests. The bathroom is modern and has both a bath and a shower, plus all the basics you’d expect. The guest quarters are right next to a heated swimming pool, which you can book to use if you fancy a swim
There’s loads to do around Walden Hall, whether you fancy soaking up the countryside or exploring the local area. The Downs Link Trail is right on the doorstep - you can actually access it directly from the site - and it’s perfect for a scenic walk or bike ride. If you're up for more nature, there's the Warnham Nature Reserve not far away, which is really peaceful and full of lovely walking trails and wildlife. Southwater Country Park and Leith Hill are just a short drive away too, great for a family day out, or a quiet picnic spot. For something a bit more cultural, Horsham’s not far at all. You can catch a film or a live show at The Capitol Theatre, or pop into the Horsham Museum and Art Gallery. There’s loads of interesting local history and art to see. If you’re into ancient history, Bignor Roman Villa is worth a visit too, with its incredible mosaics and ruins. There’s something for everyone Some fabulous local dining options; The Orchard: A well-reviewed restaurant offering a variety of dishes, located nearby. The Windmill Inn: A cosy country pub serving quality food, situated in Littleworth. The Hornbrook Inn: A traditional village pub with a beer garden, perfect for pub classics.
