About this property
The Barn at New Wood Farm
On the doorstep of the Black Country yet tucked down a little Lane surrounded by fields with horses.Parking right outside the door in the Lane it’s quiet and peaceful. Cool in summer and cozy in winter. Guests often love our Wurlitzer free to play juke box with records from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. The Lane runs alongside a Roman bridle path that leads down the canal just 2 minutes walk with beautiful scenery, barges and water birds.There is also a fishery along the path about 5 minutes away. We also have a beautiful garden which our guests are free to enjoy from BBQs in summer and making snowmen in winter if the weather allows. (We really loved hearing 2 little Australian children making a snowman at 7.30 in the morning as they’d never seen snow before) If quests wish to join us in the garden for a glass of wine in summer that’s fine, but equally it’s a private quiet space totally seprate.

Your host
We are both from The Black Country and we love our area. It’s friendly here. We love travelling ourselves and we like meeting new people. We live next door and if we are around and it’s summer we can often be found in the garden. We have been hosting since the 1990’s and have had the pleasure of hosting guests from most parts of the world.
Why they chose this property
We are close to The Black Country but here we are surrounded by fields. It’s quiet and peaceful and our guests love it. Just down the bridle path is the lovely Staffordshire/Worcestershire canal with wild life and narrow boats passing through.
What makes this property unique
Guests love it here and we often host different generations of families with their relatives living locally. Parking is right outside the front door in the Lane. Beautiful walks down to the staffordshire/Worcestershire canal.
